The Coliseum Is Available For Weddings . . . Seriously

USC is obviously looking for ways to make money during a pandemic. And now you too can have your wedding at the Coliseum . . . believe it or not.

For $10,000-10,500, you can have a 10-person “petite wedding” at the Coliseum, and “following your I Do’s, you will be escorted to a Luxury Suite to nibble on chocolate-covered strawberries and sip bubbly.”

No word on if Clay Helton will officiate your ceremony.

“All of our Petite Weddings will comply with CDC, state, and county guidelines to provide a safe experience in a clean and sanitized environment.  Four to five time slots are available,” the site says.

You can also propose at the Coliseum for $500 or have graduation or holiday photos taken at the Coliseum.

All information is here.

  1. I just saw on the ESPN headlines on bottom of TV that a USC player tested positive for the virus. All activities halted. So does that mean the game is cancelled on Sat?

  2. Man featured at Giuliani press conference is a convicted sex offender

The first person Rudy Giuliani, the attorney for President Donald Trump, called up as a witness to baseless allegations of vote counting shenanigans in Philadelphia during a press conference last week is a sex offender who for years has been a perennial candidate in New Jersey.

“It’s such a shame. This is a democracy,” Daryl Brooks, who said he was a GOP poll watcher, said at the press conference, held at Four Seasons Total Landscaping in Northeast Philadelphia. “They did not allow us to see anything. Was it corrupt or not? But give us an opportunity as poll watchers to view all the documents — all of the ballots.”

  3. Suggesting this as a wedding venue to your gal might be as outrageous as proposing to her on the vision board at a sporting event.

  4. All the fake outrage! I’m so furious at this! Imagine a private institution finding ways to raise money off of its facilities. That’s outrageous. It would be as bad as hosting concerts or anything non football. What’s next, the olympics?

  6. Honestly this tempest in a tea cup over finally getting some use out of the luxury boxes? The ten grand price is for the suite that Notre Dame paid to have resemble a chapel. It comes complete with a small organ and a huge vestibule.
The question remains as to if the ten people include the wedding party and priest. Ten guests plus wedding party would be better, especially if the groomsmen and bridesmaids number in the twenties. But at a thousand dollars per person they have set the mark high for those who know it’s cheaper to keep her.

  7. If it goes towards Helton’s buyout, I would be all in on having an event at the Coli. We need to start putting money in a joint piggy bank and saving up. It might take awhile to undo Swann’s folly. After all, it is a period of great athletic department losses. Everyone is affected.

    1. Nonsense. There are ways for a first class tax exempt university to raise money. This is like having a fish fry at the church I attended when I was a kid in alabama. This is a drop off a fly wing. Plus this is classless. No major academic university does this.
