I would rather focus on a classic era photo, USC-Stanford in 1975, with the small S on the helmet and those revered 70’s Trojans uniforms. It’s a great photo.
And now we have this dumb graphic USC produced on Instagram that refers to UCLA as “Other LA school.” Can’t just enjoy being in first place without taunting someone else?

Nice photo choice, Scottie!
Dumb graphic? C’mon, all in good fun.
You remember Neuheisel’s “The football monopoly in Los Angeles is officially over”, which was dreamed up at the time by the bruin marketing dept. Then Rick got Kiffined, 50-0, after which, he gave a very Clay Helton answer in his presser about whether he should remain as coach – “The program is headed in the right direction”.

I liked the response of the football monopoly Los Angeles is officially over there (USC), later cemented by a 50-0 example of how far FUCLA was behind USC at the time.

Post the picure of the stunned Rick Neuheisel after the 50 -0 demolition. Rick was wandering around the field “ah…what happened…
UCLA hired this guy even though:
“Rick Neuheisel has had an extremely controversial and tumultuous coaching career since he was hired by Colorado in 1995. After choosing to leave the Buffaloes in 1999, Colorado was investigated by the NCAA for 53 recruiting violations, 51 of which occurred while Neuheisel was the head coach. ”
And this:
“In 2008, The Seattle Times ran a series of articles which accused Neuheisel and athletic director Barbara Hedges of overlooking numerous discipline problems—including outright criminal behavior—during the 2000 season.”

They’re still laughing hard in Seattle after St. Pat came to town and paid a huge premium for U-Dub’s alky HFBC that U-Dub would have paid St. Pat to take off their hands.
And, lest we forget, SUCC FB is the only FB Program to have a player win the Heisman and then forfeit it for blatant charges of greed/breaking NCAA pay for play rules.
O. J. Simpson and Dr. Geo. Tyndall, C. L. Max Nikias and the SUCC pussy BOT.

Smoky —I agree….. but the best thing Neuheisel ever did in his entire career was lie to holy roller Barbara Hedges about betting in the office pool…..

Didn’t watch the video.
Corey Hart just doesn’t do it these days. Now you show some vintage acting of Corey Haim (RIP) that’s a bigger ball game. Next level!

My take on using “Other LA School” is that “you” still fear them, that by listing their proper name, they will somehow bypass youy in the standings.
If you truly believe in yourself, you will proudly have USC @ 1 with UCLA BELOW it at 2.

Well, Ohio State refers to Michigan as “The school up north.”

Oh, wow. UCLA is referred to as the “other LA school” What a horrible taunt! I am shocked, shocked I tell you.
Scott’s next investigative piece? USC shoe lace scandal.

Sleeping off a hangover instead of reporting on USC TROJANS BASKETBALL.
Not the journalism of a guy that gets to talk shop on the radio with Petros & Money and seem like he is in tune with the program.
How can anyone ever invite you on now for your take on SC sports when you can’t even be respectful and acknowledge the program after a game of that magnitude this late in the season??????????
So nothing? Not even a quick “Andy Enfield beat a overrated rated Oregon squad?”
Keep up the good work?

Bounced back from the Arizona loss with a victory over the conference best team the last couple of season’s. He’s a Naismith National Coach Of The Year candidate it was just announced .

Last thing that quacks expected was to see Andy go small against his ducks and still get out rebounded by us. Drove him crazy.

Wow! Sam! You just came up with the perfect compromise for Scott: Report basketball wins….but characterize them as being against overrated teams! Brilliant!

Over rated and undermanned…. they have the bad rim, regardless of which half it is, there was a sudden burst of wind while the opponents shoot, the drapes were purposely opened and the sun was in their eyes…
Oh and the balls were deflated‼️

Ha! And why should any team be expected to perform on a court they don’t regularly practice on?!

MG, name one top 25 team still so ranked that Andyain’twinning team has engaged this year?
It’s true the bozo victory vs Oregon was impressive, but let’s not forget Oregon had not played a scheduled game in weeks and SUCC was rebounding from a humiliating home loss to AZ.
The same AZ team UCLA defeated by 14 points 2 days before.

Not our fault that sow players couldn’t hold onto their rankings after getting pinked by the Trojans…
I guess in a way it’s our own fault.

There’s been much said by this blogger about how this team isn’t in the same league as the squads from the 70s. It’s a tough call, as is always the case when comparing teams of different eras, but I do believe that that 70s squad might’ve had trouble scoring at times vs this group.
Not saying who’d win or lose, but this group sure plays some good defense….just ask the quacks and sow players. Both schools had a half where they couldn’t score 25…
