Mel Kiper Loves Alijah Vera-Tucker

ESPN draft guru Mel Kiper is so high on USC offensive lineman Alijah Vera-Tucker that he has him to the Minnesota Vikings with the 14th pick in the NFL Draft in his mock draft.

Excerpt:

“I’ll stick with Vera-Tucker here because of his versatility. He played guard before moving to left tackle for USC last season. He impressed there and rocketed up draft boards. I think he’ll probably stick at tackle in the NFL. We know coach Mike Zimmer will always push for the Vikings to draft a defender, and this could also be a spot for a pass-rusher or defensive back.”

Kiper must be high, blind in one eye and can’t see out the other.

Numerous, numerous times Tucker was tossed around and thrown aside like a rag doll.

    LMFAO!

I can tell you one person who won’t miss Tucker and that’s that girl Shedon Slovis. Hell, you can get any 6′ + 300 lbs. kid to lay down in front of an opposing defensive lineman and they’ll be as effective as Vera Tucker and. I ain’t bullshitting…dead serious!

    14th pick, 1st round…

    ROTFLMFAO!

OH MY SIDE HURTS FROM LAUGHING SO MUCH!

    SHIT!

AHA HA HA HA HA HA HA!

CLASSIC! FUCKING SENILE MEL KIPER, WHO KNEW HE MOONLIGHTED AS A COMEDIAN?

    1. I don’t know about you, but if I am looking for expert advice on which offensive linemen to draft, tebowm is the first person I would consult and Scott’s blog is the first place I would look. What could possibly go wrong?

    2. Tebow,

Sheldon is no girl. I agree about Tucker. He is not coahed up. Sheldon has or had an injury to his shoulder. That threw his mechanics off as well as having to run for hi slife about 90% of the time. That has been the history of the SC qb since Darnold, they have had to run for their life because Helton does not believe in line. If he did, he owuld make sure that the qb is not touched.

  2. I sort of agree with tebow, just don’t think Kiper is bad as all that …tucker is doa in nfl from what I’ve seen…but remember they may see undeveloped talent which is pretty typical for a hellton coached sc team these days

  4. Virtually every expert agrees, best OL talent, but in a sht scheme. In some odd way the scheme makes better OL– you don’t have back and TE blocking support so you’re always overmatched and not sure what’s coming your way. There aren’t roll outs designed but the QB is back peddling for some extra time wherever he wants, so an OL is caught blocking LBs and athletic DL in space with no sure idea of which direction. Playing at SC is like the most challenging drills for any OL each snap. That’s no way to win games but it is why they’re taking our OL so high. It’s the closest thing to player development SC fb has to offer right now, outside of all the balls thrown at WRs.

    1. Smart analysis, Global: USC’s offensive strategy is so misbegotten that it makes good o-linemen look bad…..
