- With Jason Hart leaving, USC needs a big-time assistant. You might say, “Well, Andy Enfield hired Hart, so why can’t he do something similar again?”
Because here is how Hart and Tony Bland got hired at USC: Pat Haden interviewed Mike Hopkins for the USC job, Hopkins said he would hire Hart and Bland as assistants.
So when Haden hired Enfield, he told Enfield, “hire Hart and Bland.” And Enfield did it.
