You can’t get the best out of either QB when you constantly chop-and-change. At this point I don’t know how either one believes in their coaches.
The great running attack from the previous week disappeared. But Graham Harrell didn’t seem committed to running especially at the beginning of the game when he was used scripted plays.
Drake London is gone but how overrated were some of these other guys who don’t seem to get any separation during games?
The best thing I can say is they have been just what I warned against the entire offseason. It’s a bad sign when both quarterbacks suffer injuries during a game.
It’s really just a non-descript group. Drake Jackson is supposed to be the best pass rusher and Todd Orlando has him dropping back and trying to cover a running back?
Kana’i Mauga had 11 tackles but that’s probably because you had an ASU tailback gaining 202 yards.
Jayden Daniels had a poor game but the DB’s still shrunk in the critical moments when USC could have really put pressure on the Sun Devils.
Has Sean Snyder “transformed” special teams? Not really. Maybe you can say they haven’t made many glaring errors, which puts him ahead of John Baxter, at least.
Couldn’t decide on a QB and hurt both with an odd rotation. Can’t stop the run. Can’t defend the pass. It’s a nothingburger on the sidelines each Saturday.
