USC interim coach Donte Williams went on the “Trojans Live” radio show last night and suggested he/the coaches might pick a QB soon.
“We’re getting close to where it’s going to be one guy that takes control of the offense right now and that’s where we’re headed,” Williams said. “You have to put the guy that gives you the best chance to win. That may be not everybody’s top choice, but it’s the best chance for this particular team to win.”
Does that sound like Kedon Slovis will be the QB? Or I am reading it wrong?
In any event, it’s more than Williams said Saturday or Sunday night. Does he even make the decision? Or does Graham Harrell? Or Mike Bohn?

Williams wants to remain in LA, so I suspect the starter will be the person he ranks highest. Maybe Harrell will as well, who knows. Dante figures Harrell is now irrelevant, he is certainly gone. Dante knows he is gone as well if the team lays any more eggs under his watch like the awful game last Saturday.

This job is above Donte Williams pay grade. Having said that, I do think that Williams was put into a tough situation and he is doing the best he can. Get the right coach and it won’t matter what our final record wends up being. I would even try to hang on to Williams(he’s a good position coach and a great recruiter) but that decision must be made by the new coach and only the new coach.

A win over the Bruins is a good start as we transition into the new coach. Anything is possible Donte needs to let loose there is nothing to lose so try some trick plays, run the option, blocks some puts it’s just win…..baby.
