The Los Al pipeline to USC continued today as four-star wide receiver Makai Lemon of Los Alamitos committed to USC.
The Class of 2023 prospect was previously committed to Oklahoma but decommitted after Lincoln Riley got hired at USC.
Lemon is the third decommitment from Oklahoma to follow Riley to USC, joining his teammate, QB Malachi Nelson, and TB Raleek Brown of Mater Dei.
I think AD Castiglione or someone at OU must’ve said something to make Lincoln Riley angry.

Lemon, Nelson, Brown, Caleb, the hits keep coming for Riley. He’ll bring Glory back to USC. Haters be damned, Ha! Bohn-Apatite Bitsches!

Well, all I have to say is after Charles Smith said that Bon-Bon has no balls and now Michael Guarino is saying Helton had no penis, or words to that effect, thank God SC finally got someone normal in this Riley guy.

Scottie, it is a damn shame it is another California 5* flip. If only he could have lived in another state…247 has 5*, Rivals, which had him remaining at OU with 92% certainty as of yesterday, had him at 4*. Ill go with 247. Sounds like Riley is letting people know there is a new sheriff in town and that he is not going to let local talent leave.

Wide receivers don’t excite me we have plenty of those from the previous coaching staff. We need offensive linemen, defensive linemen, and linebackers to make it back to the national level. Have to give Lincoln Credit so far no doubt about that, but by next spring we need some transfers, and high school recruits at these positions to field a competitive team.

Id love a great quick, small but good blocking fullback with good hands who can get lost in the wash and come out open on the other end after blocking down on play action. That killed defenses with Norm. That and fullback wheel routs. All hail Dave Kirtman, Lee Webb, Stan Havili.

Wheel routes! Yes! And we have the backs for that (remember Reggie vs. Virginia Tech)?
What is wrong with Harrell?

While the defense was horrible this year, it comes down to coaching (and front D line defections/injuries). On D, there is talent available–other than at LB which is depleted.*. While I agree that recruiting defensive talent is important, the game of college football requires putting lots of points up on the board. Even Nick Saban now understands this.
Several of the losses this year came down to ineffectual WR play. The O-line played well-enough and the RB’s were effective. The QB’s were pretty good, given that they only had 1 or 2 WR who were reliable.
*BTW, Gaoteote had one unassisted tackle for the Buckeyes this year, vs 40 as a freshman and 60 as a soph at USC. Looks like he has next year as a RS Sr to prove his mettle. The trf not working out real well for him.

Utah looks very tough, very physical, very disciplined. I would have like Whittingham as HC at SC too. Imagine what he would have done being able to recruit in SoCal. They beat down Oregon twice in 13 days.

It is truly humorous to read from California Trojan fans who think that guys like Fickell or Whittingham WANT to move to LA. You all just don’t get it. I’m glad Lincoln Riley is willing to give it a shot.
Whittingham enjoys bombing it on the ski slopes at the best ski resorts in the World–45 minutes from his front door. His commute to work is easy. The air in SLC is pretty clean most days. None of these priorities happen in So Cal.
Since finishing his short pro career, Whit has lived in Mormon country (Idaho is included) for 35 years, after graduating from BYU as a star LB in 1981.

Few people from earth hate the Oregon Ducks’ football team more than I. You see, I have been to their Autzen Stadium in Eugene Oregon, and that is all I have to say on the subject.
But now I love the Ducks. Or at least the Ducks mascot. After Oregon was scalped in the first quarter by those Utah Utes, the Duck was shown nonchalantly playing cards on the sideline.
I found that hilarious!

This mascot rarely needs to do push ups, given how horrible is the Dux O.
Back in the Chip days, the mascot regularly did 200 or 300 pushups per game.

PHIL KNIGHT- CEO OF THE UNIVERSITY AND OREGON/ AND NIKE!
NIKE IS HIS TOY……..THE UNIV OF OREGON IS HIS FIRST LOVE, AND HE DOES NOT LIKE TO LOSE. IT IS AMAZON OREGON HAS NOT BEEN ON PROBATION MORE OFTEN WITH THE AMOUNT OF ILLEGAL ACTIVITY GOING ON THERE ESPECIALLY WITH THE HUGE SUMS OF MONEY PHIL THROWS INTO THE ATHLETIC DEPT.
LOVE TO SEE THE DUCKS GET ROLLED!! TO ME COACH MARIO IS AN OVERRATED COACH. THE DUCKS HAVE NOT LOOKED GOOD THIS YEAR, AND LAST DESPITE BEATING USC IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME DUE TO THE INFERIOR UNCLE FESTER CLAY HELTON NOT HAVING HIS TEAM PREPARED.
THIS OREGON DISASTER TONIGHT WILL REALLY HELP USC RECRUITING. Perhaps, Mario will now run away from Oregon, and take the Miami job, and now Phil may encourage him to go.
IT ALSO PROVES KYLE WILLINGHAM IS THE BEST COACH IN THE PAC 12 UP TO THIS POINT UNTIL LINCOLN TAKES OVER AT SC. VERY HAPPY TO SEE UTAH WIN, AND MAKE THEIR 1ST TRIP TO THE ROSE BOWL
USC needs to play defense like Utah does every year. Defense wins championships!!!! I also love Utah’s QB who runs the ball when nothing is available which is something Jackson Dart needs to do. USC also needs to have the QB take the ball from center at least 50% of the time like Utah doesas it opens up the running lanes for the backs.
UNCLE PHIL – YOU CAN’T WIN THEM ALL. There also will never be a UO National Championship in your lifetime.

How’d all the great recruits USC got last year do this season? The defensive lineman guy was a 5 star, right?

Composite #1 I think. Doesn’t mean we don’t need to bulk up on both sides of the line of scrimmage. Interior line is a current weak point.

I suspect Foreman’s lack of production was more the fault of the Orlando than anything else. The defense was among the worst in the country – and yet somehow Foreman wasn’t good enough to play?

This the last comment about the Betting Contest from the “Other’s” blog
TMC4USC (aka TMJ) 75,000
Lawyer John (Wolcott) 82,000
The games played out according to plan. TMJ was too conservative in his betting after his big 33,000 sucla win, so he did not deserve to win the Contest.
Now all I have to do is figure out how to collect MY prize money.
The end!

Board is dead today………….I think there is more interest in the USC vs. Washington St. basketball game today at 3pm than the football game vs. Cal for a very good reason. I hear the football team is taking a tour of Alcatraz Island this morning before the game. Perhaps, most of these coaches feel Alcatraz is their next permanent stop.
Tough game today for USC Basketball on the road especially in Pullman, WA.
