There’s a growing trend at USC games that needs to be called out.
A lot of fans are wearing USC jerseys to games with names on the back.
Do we need to explain why this is a terrible idea besides mentioning USC has never had names on its jerseys?
Why would you wear a jersey that is in direct contrast to the actual team jersey?
If you wear a No. 42 jersey, it doesn’t need “LOTT” on the back.
It used to be you would see these jerseys here or there at the Coliseum.
But at the USC-Fresno State game, they were everywhere. Maybe 50 percent. It’s gross and it shows how a lot of USC fans don’t really get it.

Not sure what is worse. This or going to Seahawk games and seeing those #12 Fan Jerseys. Actually heard someone ask what position Fan played. In honor of Wolf, maybe wear #12 USC Jerseys with the name “Fan Boy” on it?

OJ was found not guilty in criminal court. If you believe in the justice system no one should take issue. I for one believe the justice system is broken.

Yes, but many think the claim that our country is racist is a myth. Cops get away with crimes all the time and millions don’t make a fuss about it.
A black man MAY have gotten away with killing a white woman, so they cry foul and still refer to him as a murderer.
BLM rallies behind thugs far too often. They need to pick their battles better.
But anyone who doesn’t think there’s a lot of racism in law enforcement has never had to drive around while black or brown. They’re foolish enough to believe that if you follow the law, you won’t have any problems. They are proof that ignorance is bliss.

I completely agree that racism does exist for minorities. I do not deny that.
But, racism can come from minorities as well. The Bureau of Justice finds that the culprit of Asian hate crimes are from Blacks!
We ALL need to be more open minded of other cultures, appearances, and backgrounds.

I think we should abolish the court system all together, Every night in prime time on TV the defendants attorneys will present there case on behalf of there client, The next night the prosecution presents its case at the end there will be two 1-800 numbers to call one for guilty the other for not guilty, The votes will be tabulated and the verdict determined than each side gets 30 minutes to present arguments for appropriate punishment. We’re really going to own the Libs now!

Good observation Scott. The reason you see so many more now is that they’re bootlegs being sold in front of supermarkets (definitely on the East Side & the OC- can’t speak for the Valley or South Bay), usually out of a van or pick up with fake Rams, Lakers & Dodger gear.
If it’s a legit jersey from Nike or Mitchell-Ness, it features a name so that the player gets a cut of the $$$ as well. Either way they both suck as no true Trojan fan would ever be caught dead in either.

Wow! Scott is getting REALLY desperate to find things to bitch about. Why would we do this?! Because it’s America and we can do what we want, at least for now. (If Biden & team get their way, that might change.)
At a time many teams are having trouble getting butts in the seats, Scott & anyone else who supposedly supports USC football, we should be grateful for any fans who are willing to shell out the dough and show up to games, especially LATE games!

He’ll reply with some lame comment, justifying his grievances on a college sports blogger….just a total senile troll….he should be embarrassed… I’m sure his family hides from him, I would.

You sound like a hypocrite!

Gabby, the Sup. court decided it would be best to let the states decide. I always thought our governmental system was based on states rights and not on federal rule. That gave people the freedom to move about the country. So did American Airlines.

Now there you go, Steve, making sense and reaffirming what our forefathers intended all along! This was a correction of a mistake made long ago.
Neither the Libs, in general, nor that fool do well with making sense.

You senile lick-dick troll!!!!….. Always looking for someone to reaffirm your stupidity…..pathetic!
If the forefathers were concerned about a woman’s reproductive rights being an issue for the states to deal with. They would have written language into the constitution addressing it. Right? Or, perhaps they had no fucking idea what an abortion was.
So why in the fuck would you try to correlate a modern-day abortion with our forefathers? I see why the family hides from you, I would
Some of the fucking shit that comes from your mouth is beyond ridiculous. Think before you type. Perhaps the laughter will be muted.

What is the rationale for not doing jerseys with the names on the back. Why is that egregious?
LikeLike
Because our players don’t have names on the back of theirs. Pretty lame. I’ve also heard some fools say that grown men shouldn’t wear jerseys.
If you want to, fine. If you don’t, that’s fine, too. To each his own.
Now when someone chooses something (OR SOMEONE) that DOES have an impact on my life, that’s different. 🙂

I have read that they included the concessions workers, all the security, and even the clean up crews. Actual came out to about 7000. Not sure if that is true, but it sounds good.

It is true. The ugly reporter for the LA Communist Times said that they count everyone that enters the rose bowl to either work and or watch the game.

That is misleading as well. Ugly counts anyone and everyone that is in the Rose Bowl. That includes secruity, vendors, tv commentators, reporters, janitors, bus driver, and ushers. Actual fan count is around 8k, in my opinion.

USC laid turds at Oregon State 2006, 2008, 2010 (7-36), and at home last year (Beavs 360 yards rushing, not to mention first victory in LA since 1960). Start taking these guys seriously!

That 2008 loss was a really tough one to swallow. We started out #1 in the AP poll, with arguably one of the best defenses to play college football. If I remember correctly, every starter was eventually an NFL draft pick.
We finished 12-1, #3 in the final AP poll. That season was a good example of where a playoff format would have been beneficial

I don’t have any jerseys because they too expensive for what you get. I am wondering when the NIL program will force USC to put names on jerseys. All of my USC gear celebrates the team not one player. The name jerseys are like a Halloween costume, I don’t need that.

I think so, but I want 55 (the year I was born) and they don’t have that one with my last name. I know a guy who coached the East Valley Trojans who could set me up with the jersey and my last name through the uniform vendor, but I like the coach’s shirts. I used to get Mickey Mouse dress shirts at Disneyland and have USC embroidered under him, but I haven’t gotten those in a while. I’ll bet there’s a thrift store in Georgia selling USC coaches shirts.

That 2008 loss to OSU in Corvallis cost us the NC. But all of PC’s losses were like that…..to under-rated teams that they should have beaten. Rarely did PC teams ever lose to a rated team…..the only one I can remember is Texas and they should have one that….when you are ahead 38-26 with a little more than 6 minutes left, you should win the game.

Those things happen about names on the back of, Jersey’s. Get a freaking life on this one already; Scott and the rest of you that can’t handle miniscule, nonsense. Especially with 50 new players on the team. Why, because Lincoln Riley had to obviously clean house and fix the dumpster fire that became USC. All because of the incompetence of Haden Swann and Helton. So be it if it helps recruiting. I’m all for it, Fight on✌️. Not cry on!

I am not sure why people think this week will be such a tough game. It will be a good game, but looking back at results, it is USC going away. If Riley hits the gas it will be USC going away fast.

I’m still trying to figure out why someone who does something stupid makes Wolf so upset? If a jersey that’s from USC has a name on the back, so be it. The was a time people didn’t bother to show up at there’s games at all, which made CJ Stroud and Bryce Young leave LA and go elsewhere. Perspective and grace are warranted towards those who aren’t as sophisticated as the others. Life is too short.

Scooter,
Another version of the jersey could be have No. 6 and 22 on it with Big X’s going through the number and have Haden and Swann’s name next to their number. They destroyed SC football for over 12 years.
