Notre Dame’s Loss Is Utah’s Gain

Utah offensive coordinator Andy Ludwig has turned down a similar position with Notre Dame according to Pete Thamel.

The sticking point was Ludwig’s buyout, which is surprising given Notre Dame’s resources.

This impacts two of USC’s opponents next season. It’s probably better for Utah, especially if Cameron Rising is back at quarterback. Let’s see who Notre Dame goes after now.

  2. Strange might it be a perception of a. current coaching staff and b. current talent of ‘the princess’? Esp with both USC and bel-air tech leaving for the Big 10 with UT set to go to (rumor) Big12 or is Andy Ludwig looking for a better deal? It would seem the latter that or there is a ‘perception’ of what actually is at So. Bend and it isn’t that good.

      2. John you are so right about the 1964 game . What was WORSE for me was 1974 .My best friend in h.s started at LB for USC & I met him in the tunnel after the game . He was offered a schollie to ND . He did tell me one of his greatest thrills was running out of the ND TUNNEL. Both of us coming from a Cath. h.s.

      3. So Cal, I’m outside of Boise, used to live south of SLC, and we are being overrun with Cali’s. They have an entitled attitude and the locals HATE them. We also have people from Oregon and Washington moving here, some are conservatives, most of the Cali’s are conservative but the ones who are libs stick out like a sore thumb and people here will tell them to fuck off and go back to Cali when they start in with their shit.

Actually, I am so far removed from that winning 2-point Utes’ conversion that I can now appreciate and feel the electrifying excitement of that Utah crowd and team in that moment

    I know the feeling, I have been there– especially 1964 ND and 1975 Rose Bowl Ohio St. Give me ‘drama’ to the very last football minute
