USC wide receiver John Jackson has entered the transfer portal, according to analyst Mike Farrell.
It’s a move that is long overdue. Jackson probably should have gone to another school out of high school. But his family has strong USC ties obviously (his grandfather was an assistant coach at USC, his dad was a star receiver) and he got his degree.
But he’s only caught five passes in 40 games so it’s really time to move on and try and play somewhere. He was recruited by Boston College while in high school and a school like that would probably suit him.
A real good player. Sorry to see him go but I’m happy for him. I hope he picks a place where he is sure to play.

He should look at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Sam Huard, a 5 star out of high school, has transferred there out of U of Washington following the hiring of his high school coach as the OC. He’d surely get a chance to play there.

Are you having little kids rub your legs when you get out of the community pool, Ed? A normal man wouldn’t do that, so you’d better be careful. We don’t want anyone calling the po po on you.

Get a life whoever you are Ed.G , you fucking bored weirdo. There’s more to life than posing as an ignorant Dumb Ass . So try Jerking off, or get a real woman 😂😂

With 5 catches in 40 games, hopefully, someone is buying what he’s selling…..A lot of players sit in the portal with little to no interest from schools.
Good luck Mr. Jackson

I often wonder if the coaches let the players know (in this environment) what their chances are for playing again at USC are. In this case the move seems late. Loyalty should account for something and go both ways.

It could be he knew he was odd man out and wanted to make sure he would graduate before announcing. Great kid, hope he gets on somewhere. That is another scholie available which LR needs badly.

Ask Max Browne about SUCC’s FB family loyalty.

Max Browne works on USC football broadcast. Looks like USC takes care of their guys better than UCLA or did they get a public defense for Brett Hundley?

Something tells me Brett won’t be doing UCLA games for the Big Ten Network.

But we still need to have an OJ Day at one of the home games. 😉

Amazing how an unhappy 5th string SC offensive end gets more space than the fact that the USC basketball team is playing lights-out at Colorado 43-30 halftime.
Well, maybe it is not amazing realizing Scott does not care much for roundball
and his followers follow suit.

Watching Babylon. The Margot Robbie character says something about taking on the the whole USC football team.

Reminds me of a comical comment on Cher in her video performing ‘If I could turn back time’. A daffy comedienne named Julie Brown is giving an overview of the song where Cher is straddling the main battery on the battleship with a group of midshipmen surounding her and Brown first says ‘Well here’s Cher reminiscing of wishes never fulfilled of love lost…’ then she pauses and delivers the haymaker
“….now she’s dating the 7th Fleet!”

John Jackson was almost born to play at USC. He is a legacy player. In the scant time he saw action he was productive. I am saddened to hear he decided to go into the portal. The coaches may rue the day they let players like him go to the portal but seem dumbfounded to explain why a team composed of highly rated mercenaries with no loyalty to the home team or school and only to money, lost a bowl game to a much less rated team with loyal, homeboy players with much, much less money. I was disgusted at the players, not the coaches, for their bumping and stand up arm tackling in the bowl game. But why should they care?

I think Wayne makes a good point. LR constantly preaches about instilling a winning culture. A culture of discipline, hard work, intelligent play, academics and accountability to the team and one another. He asks the players to “buy-in” and be loyal to the program SC is building. But all of this seems inconsistent with the whole idea of a transfer portal wherein loyal players are asked to leave in favor of making available space for an outside player and outside players are often rewarded with better NIL incentives than those who came up through the system. The NCAA really needs to make some changes because the current system is broken.

Guys, John Jackson played for two different coaching staff’s and was passed up for more playing time. He needs to leave. I don’t know about going to a train wreck like Boston College but he’d start at UCLA for sure.

I think Shotgun belongs to the “fanboy” group that Scott is so fond of talking about. Scott is so out there, he even thinks JustO is part of the fanboy collective.

In a sense everybody who works on a “team” tends toward “fanboy.” Scott has [and, boy, does he take advantage of] the status of “rebel outsider.” Outsiders are fun cuz they get to call ’em exactly as they see them…

He definitely excels at provocation…maybe something to do with the Wolfe surname? Think Tom Wolfe and pieces like “Radical Chic” and “Mau-Mauing the Flak Catchers”. Still relevant today.

Good luck to John Jackson. There will be more players exiting the program after spring practice. Continual upgrade will be in process over the next year, players and maybe even a few coaching upgrades down the line.
