When I say the Allyson Felix Field ceremony was a typical USC production, here’s some examples:
Carol Folt used a teleprompter. Like a U.S. president. It’s a ceremony for a track field. It doesn’t require a teleprompter. Allyson Felix didn’t use one.
Folt used a teleprompter at the dediction of the track-and-field offices in 2021 and then got frustrated when it malfunctioned.
- It’s a good thing former USC sports information director Tim Tessalone retired. He was at the ceremony too. Of course. Like he never left.
- The ceremony was held on the walkway between the P.E. Building and track. It’s apparently called Anthony Lazzaro Plaza, after a long-time USC administrator. His grandson was convicted last week in a notorious case in Minnesota.
- Pac-12 deputy commissioner Jamie Zaninovich is leaving his job after nine years, per Sports Business Journal.
Now the sketchy part: Zaninovich is going work for TrailRunner International, a global communications firm. And his first consulting job will be to advise the Pac-12 on media negotiations, expansion and basketball strategy.

So the grandson disqualified the administrator? We know Folt is a muppet. A teleprompter? Cal State Fullerton really prepared her for USC. You shop at Ross and that’s what you should expect. Someone more qualified to run a department store than any university.

MG, I hear you and it’s so easy to throw out a catch-all phrase like shitty president.
I know Obama inherited a terrible economy from W and it did turn around during his tenure. Unemployment was very low when he left office but he did run up the national debt a lot.
Remind me, what was it Trump accomplished during his one term? Let’s not talk about how much he ran up the national debt though.

USC is now known as the Gold and Cardinal ( Red) Raiders. At least we know that Mike Leaches legacy will live on, with hopefully a Championship this year.
Oh yeah, in the words of John McKay, hopefully the execution of the defense will be most favorable this year.
