USC Notes: Naturally, A Fox Poll Restores Order

OK, if we needed to find a poll that picks USC to win the Pac-12, it made sense that it would come from Fox.

Here’s USC-friendly Joel Klatt’s post-spring Top 25 with the Trojans first among Pac-12 teams. Where’s Klatt’s alma mater, Colorado? That’s coming.

  • The late actor Bill Paxton would have turned 68 today. Here he is portraying former USC pitching coach/player Tom House in the movie, “Million Dollar Arm.” He is still the only person to be killed on-screen by a Terminator, an Alien and a Predator.

      3. Agree So Cal. Our universities with their speech codes and trigger warning have turn young people into a bunch of overly sensitive wimps. And it has spilled out into the general population. People can’t be authentic anymore. Relationships have suffered because without authenticity their is no real closeness. Bill Maher has repeatedly stated that this non sensical wokeness of the left has killed comedy and I think he is right. Tried to watch Blazing Saddles with my 15 year old son a few months back and it wasn’t funny because virtually very scene was edited so as to be non offensive and it had the effect of editing the comedy out of the movie. That movie, a comedy classic by Mel Brooks, does not get made today.

  12. Klatt is a big believer in QB starting games. He also recognizes the proficiency of a teams defense can separate wannabe teams from true contenders. Finally, schedule and special teams create luck or misfortune according to Klatt. With that being said, he gives the big programs too much latitude. I would believe that Michigan has the best team in the country followed by USC then Georgia, Alabama and Ohio St. Tulane and Utah had quarterbacks that outplayed Caleb Williams last season. That will not happen again this next season.
