USC Notes: At Least Bohn Wasn’t Playing Golf

What was Mike Bohn doing with all that free time at USC when he was supposed to be at meetings or events?

We all knew what Lynn Swann was doing? Playing golf. Pat Haden used to play on the golf simulator in the basement at Heritage Hall.

Maybe Bohn just liked hanging out at Manhattan Beach. He told me once he read this blog so maybe he can post it in the comments.

  • Joelle Trepagnier of Culver City High School, the daughter of former USC basketball player Jeff Trepagnier, finished second at the CIF Masters Meet on Saturday in the 400 meters with a time of 53.465 seconds. She will participate in the State Meet this weekend in Clovis.
  • Former USC beach volleyball stars Kelly Cheng (Claes) and Sara Hughes won the Huntington Beach Open Sunday.

    or electronics hardware or anything to call balls and strikes and bring some uniformity and consistency to the most vital part of the game

  5. The country is filled with USC football haters. Unfortunately most of them are not out there but right here at USC. There is a large portion of the administration that hates the football program. I know not too many people agree with this but I still think that had a lot to do with Bohns being fired. It strike me odd that you have Mike Garrett who was a good AD and he gets kicked out the door. Then the next 2 AD’s were the worst, most useless, most overpaid AD’s in the history of the NCAA and the administration loved them. Then finally they get a good AD(Bohn) and he gets booted out the door too.
    And the accusations…….very vague!!!!! Accusations by some women(whoever they are). What did they say?….nobody knows. Who decides whether what they said is considered sexual harrasment? What is the definition of sexual harrasment? Somehow at SC it’s guilty until proven innocent unlike the old way…..innocent until proven guilty. How are you going to prove yourself innocent. There are rarely camera’s that filmed the whole thing. Most of the times it’s just his word against hers. That makes it almost impossible to prove yourself innocent if accused. And most of the time they take the womans side. Are you going to ruin a guys career by mere accusations? Should not the burden of proof be on the one who makes the accusations?
    It reminds me of the kicker who won the rose bowl in 2016. He’s playing rough with his girlfriend and somebody up on the 5th floor looks down sees it and reports it to the authorities and they kick him out of school when he has just 3 units needed to graduate. He denies that he was abusing her. His girlfriend denies that he was abusing her. The only 2 people who really know what happened both said that it didn’t happen. Yet the woke womens committee who makes the decision says “don’t believe the eye witnesses, believe us”. He sues the university. His girlfriend also files her own separate suit against the university and yet he still gets kicked out of school.
    All I see is a lot of vague accusations here and possibly an AD who doesn’t think that he has the money to fight a huge legal corporation.
    This is happening far too often…..Kavannaugh, Duke Lacrosse, Tawanna Brawley…………

      1. “Bone” has certainly been good for the football program and other sports programs. He’s in another universe above the last two guys we had and I just want to see some solid evidence that he did something wrong…….not just she said/he said. Like I said before, we need to force everyone into these 12 foot diameter plastic bubbles with a cell phone so that we won’t offend each other and disturb our safe spaces.

      2. Years ago a buddy of mine worked in the Paris office of Cisco Systems. They had to go through the same sexual harassment training as the U.S. office. He said they all laughed at the stuff Americans found offensive, especially the French women.

      7. Parcel: The whole world is laughing at us. Remember those bumper stickers in the early 70s “a woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle.” A huge part of the feminist movement was to shame women who wanted to sacrifice their career plans to be housewives and mothers. Those housewives and mothers were invaluable to society but are extremely rare today. Instead women are encouraged by social media to delay marriage and children and work 50 hours a week for corporate America to advance their profits and this will somehow be fulfilling. It is not. 30 year old so called successful women today are unmarried, childless, and miserable. And so are men who are looking for women who will support them, be their wives, build them up, and be mothers to their children. The university played a role in this misery.

      8. Of course there was Gloria Steinem who encouraged women to not get married. She used to say that “a woman only loves a man like she loves her puppy dog”. As a result many many women never got married, never had any kids or grandkids, never had a family and many of them died alone. Then after pushing feminism all her life, at about 67 she decided “I think I’ll get married” and she did.

      12. When I think of Civil Rights, I think of Martin Luther King. MLK would turn over in his grave if he could see what they have done with his Civil Right Act. It was never meant to cover gays and trans. One time back in the 50’s, they ask MLK about his thoughts about homosexuality. He answered with compassion and said that those poor people needed psychological help. He thought of homosexuality as a mental problem. Today if you don’t worship at the feet of the gay crowd then you need psychiatric help. It’s not hard to see why america is on the verge of a moral implosion.

      6. Woke educational elites are the only place where you can do a poor job and still have no threat of being fired. It’s almost impossible to fire a teacher. You can’t clean up the system either. The whole system is protected. The kids are being indoctrinated not educated. Our education scores as a nation puts us behind some african nations despite the fact that we spend 100 times as much money on education. Yet nothing is done about it.
        You can’t have a system where the higher ups in the chain of command are kissing the butts of the people down lower on the ladder worrying that the lowers will file frivoles charges against them and ruin their career. If you don’t put pressure on them, they will not perform up to their potential and the company will not compete. Working in the business industry can be stressful because they have to be tight with their money and expect results and finance the company off of their profits.
        Government doesn’t have to do that. They can always tax the people more if they need money to pay all these government employee benefits or if they are the federal government they can just print money. Why are your postal stamps so high? Because the USPS loses money ever year so they are subsidized by charging you more money for your stamps. If UPS or Fed Ex wanted to go into that mail business, The Post Office would go out of business overnight.
        I retired from a large well known corporation and it was very stressful. They were successful because they put pressure on you to perform. But even there it was starting to change when I retired.
        I can remember women managers who were not productive at all and were on the verge of being fired. Then they threatened to file charges of sexual harrasment and the company dropped the charges and even promoted them. Now there are also poor men managers. But the men just get fired.
        There are recently complaints against Bohn that have shown up from his time at Cincinnati. Didn’t USC vet him when he was at Cincinnati? Why didn’t these people file complaints against him back then? That bothers me. You have women filing hassasment and rape charges, sometimes years later like with Kavannaugh. There doesn’t seem to be any statue of limitations.
        All of a sudden they see that todays political winds are blowing the right way and now is the time to get back at someone who may have rubbed you the wrong way and there is no statue of limitations.
        I’ve always said that Mike Bohn was a good AD. He wasn’t perfect. Maybe some good will come out of this. Maybe they will bring in somebody who will dive head first into the problem of NIL and we’ll stop losing key players to Oregon and other programs. Mike Bohn seemed to fight the whole thing. He wasn’t perfect. But I just don’t think that a few comments(which will remain undisclosed) by a few dis-satisfied employees(some of which worked under Bohn years ago at other schools) should be able to destroy a mans career. USC has done that before…..mostly with football players…..by committees of conduct that were dominated by Femi-Nazi’s……Bryce Dixon, Bru McCoy, Boormeister……..

    4. If Bohn was confident he did nothing wrong then why go along with the resignation?

      Bohn should have cleaned house when he got to USC. The entire athletic dept. was corrupted by Pat Haden, Steve Lopes, Max Nikias, J.K. McKay, etc. All the clowns that served under the aforementioned are just as corrupt, they all covered for one another, all on the take.

      Bohn should have replaced every last one of those worthless filth that were hired by Haden and Nikias.

      1. Good question. I don’t have a definite answer for that. I can only speculate. Maybe he thought he was going up against a powerful legal organization(that represents SC) and even if he won the case, he would go bankrupt and thus lose and therefore it was a lose-lose proposition. So it was better to just resign without admitting anything and just say he wanted more time with the family and health problems.

  6. A woman in her 20’s and two of her girlfriends go to a concert. While waiting for the show to start, a guy she has never met comes up behind her wraps his arms around her chest and starts kissing her neck. Would her response and that of her friends be identical is the guy was a) A 300 slob named Jim Bob or b) Bruno Mars? Not likely. Now, rather than a hug they tapped her on her shoulder and as she turned around they punched her in the face. Same response? Likely. Point being, it should not be sexual harassment unless it is as patently offensive as a punch in the face.

But the businesses themselves shut down because all the info that they were getting from the globalist in the media, democratic party and even the republican party was that hundreds of millions were going to die from this pLandemic(“never let a crises go to waste”, in fact, why not plan the crises) and the businesses were scared stiff of getting sued by relatives of people who died from Covid because they didn’t shut down.         The polls show that about 18% of the people who voted for Biden said that they never heard of the HB scandals and about 13% said that if they had known about it they would not have voted for Biden. Take 13% of Bidens votes away and he loses bigtime. It was the FBI who went to the news media and the social media and told them to hide the HB scandal from the people before the elections. None other than Mark Zuckerberg himself testified of that in congressional hearings.
        But I’m wasting my time talking to some people about that. If the head of the democratic party admitted publicly that the dems stole the elections, some people would just say “get her/him a psychiatrist, she is becoming delusional”. They wouldn’t believe it because they don’t want to believe it.

How many hundreds of thousands of kids are being sold into the sex slave market because our borders are wide open? How many americans are overdosing from Fentanyl and other drugs that are coming across those open borders? We lost 54,000 men in about 15 years of the Vietnam War and also a similar amount during the Korean war. We lost about 300,000 men in WWII. We are losing over 100,000 A YEAR in drug overdoses from drugs coming across the open borders that Mayorkas and his cronies refuse to close. Then there is all the crime from cartel members and MS-13 and other gangs. Then there is the millions coming across the border who come across with all the 3rd world country diseases. It would take seven years and eight months to watch all these images at normal speed.         I’ll concede that it didn’t matter who was in office when covid hit, things were going to go downhill. I know conservatives wouldn’t have let it slide if it had been a Democrat so consequently it falls on Trump.
        He did set a record for increasing the national debt, nearly matching what Obama added in his eight years in just four himself.
        So much for financial conservativeism.
