Friday’s USC News And Notes

As expected, five-star guard Jason Crowe of Inglewood committed to Missouri today.

  • No sooner did I mention Sandy Barbour today and Utah State names her as its interim athletic director. Don’t forget Carol Folt made Barbour part of her interim leadership team after she got rid of Mike Bohn.
  • Brodie Purcell, a second-team All-Big Ten pitcher with a 2.11 ERA, has transferred to Florida State. USC’s administration has done a number on the baseball program this offseason.

    1. KAM: I’m hearing that we can’t put Coup Leader Barack Hussein Obama in handcuffs because that might cause civil unrest. But wait! Democrats didn’t hesitate to drop 90+ charges on Trump. They were ready to lock him up for life, and deal with the ensuing civil unrest.

  1. KAM: It has emerged that The Pride of USC Democrat Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass pushed a narrative now considered a hoax of ICE trying to kidnap an illegal alien mother. https://x.com/MayorOfLA/status/1940096584706138128On Thursday, the DOJ announced charges against Yuriana Julia Pelaez Calderon, 41, for conspiracy and making false statements for allegedly faking her kidnapping.

On June 30, Calderon’s family held a press conference, pleading for help to release her after she claimed federal agents took and held her in a warehouse until she agreed to self-deport. Calderon’s daughter claimed “masked men” snatched her mother “in an unmarked vehicle…when she was on her way to work.”

The greedy family even begged for donations, raising $4,500. The claims prompted Homeland Security to launch an investigation, diverting resources to locate Calderon.

DON: Of course, the Fake News and Democrats used the story for their Pro-Open Borders anti-ICE narrative, including Mayor Bass. And she won’t apologize now for her Jussie Smollett antics.

  2. KAM:  Newly Declassified Docs Reveal Barack Obama Helped “Manufacture and Politicize Intelligence” to Create Trump-Russia Collusion Hoax. The documents show that three corrupt Obama officials, FBI Director James Comey, CIA Director John Brennan, and DNI James Clapper included the Steele Dossier in their quest to “screw Trump” knowing at the time that the Steele Dossier was complete rubbish.

On Friday it was revealed that Barack Obama knew it was a hoax and he was involved in manufacturing and politicizing the intelligence to create the Trump-Russia collusion canard to first derail his 2016 presidential campaign and, after elected, to remove Trump from office. Like Cowardly Sparrow Gabby, they had no problem lying for their Democrat cause.

  4. KAM: A federal judge in Ohio has dismissed a lawsuit seeking compensation for thousands of former Ohio State athletes from the NCAA.

In her ruling, Chief U.S. District Judge Sarah Morrison said former Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor filed his proposed class action against the NCAA, Ohio State, the Big Ten and others too late.

Pryor, who played for Ohio State from 2008 to ’10, sued the NCAA and other defendants in October, accusing them of violating antitrust law by barring members of the school’s sports teams from seeking to profit from the commercial use of their names, images and likenesses.

DON:Plaintiffs generally face a four-year window to bring claims under U.S. antitrust law. But Pryor said in the lawsuit that the NCAA and others have continued to make money from the use of his name, image and likeness through videos and other broadcasts. Former USC running back Reggie Bush filed a similar lawsuit against the university, the NCAA and the Pac-12 in September, as a number of former Michigan stars against the NCAA and Big Ten.

      6. “I know a lot of you have been wondering what Trump’s next move might be. But as I’ve been telling you, the real story isn’t about what he will do—it’s about what he’s already doing right now. The cover-up is intensifying. And this morning, Donald Trump took a sledgehammer to what remained of his MAGA base,” Parnas wrote. “In a Truth Social post, he didn’t just call out his supporters—he disemboweled them. The very people who built his movement and who defended him through every scandal were called irrelevant. Weaklings.”

Later in the day, according to Parnas, “he doubled down while taking questions in the Oval. He called MAGA foolish, stupid, and duped by the Democrats—specifically about what he now calls the ‘Epstein hoax.'”

According to Parnas, this unforced error was the result of Trump’s mental health.

“This was a big mistake. Because something is happening that the media is not reporting,” according to Parnas. “But I’ve been telling you for months, and now even Trump’s closest allies are starting to admit it: the man is unraveling.”

        Parnas continued:

“You could call it desperation, cognitive decline, or just plain delusion. But when Donald Trump can’t remember that he himself nominated Jerome Powell to the Fed—and then blames Joe Biden for it—you know something is deeply wrong. He’s so used to blaming Biden for everything, it’s now automatic. The economy? Biden’s fault. The Epstein files? Biden planted them.”

Regarding Trump’s polling, Parnas says, “Quinnipiac’s bombshell poll just dropped, and it shows what Trump fears most: his own voters are done being lied to. 63% of all voters disapprove of Trump’s Epstein cover-up. But here’s the kicker: 40% of Republicans are rejecting his stonewalling too. That’s not a political hiccup—that’s a full-blown revolt inside the base.”

“And the response from Trump? Rage. Projection. Attacks,” Parnas wrote.

Jackie Walorski, an Indiana Republican who had died weeks earlier in a car accident, was in a meeting, observers were shocked. Biden had not only issued a statement of condolence; he had attended the congresswoman’s memorial service to lower the flags at the White House in her honor. As Washington Post media critic Erik Wemple noted last week, that moment should have been a wake-up call. In Washington parlance, it left no room for “plausible deniability” about whether Biden was still fit to hold the office of president.
