USC Morning Buzz: Pete Carroll-Mack Brown Rematch Scheduled

Pete Carroll and Mack Brown have been named coaches of the 2027 Polynesian Bowl, a rematch of their legendary national title game at the Rose Bowl.

Does Carroll promise to have Reggie Bush on the field on fourth down this time around?

Carroll probably loved the idea of going to Hawaii for a football since he’s had a home there for years.

  • Here’s a note on new USC guard Jadis Jones, a transfer from Lindenwood. He is really adept at driving to the basket. That’s good because he did not make a 3-point last season. He made two 3-point shots two years ago.

Someone is going to need to make 3-point shots for USC. Maybe Alijah Arenas will improve on his 21 percent 3-point shooting.

You are a paranoid schizophrenic so ashamed of your pathetic miserable existence that he/she/it has to pretend to be other people in order to keep from committing s u i c i d e, a true low life with nothing better to do.

DON: Imagine how pathetic it’s life must be spending all day on a blog switching between screen names of other people, I mean …that’s beyond pathetic.

  1. Great to have a former standout USC coach coaching in the Polynesian Bowl with all of the top recruits. By the way, the two players that Scott mentioned may not be three point shooters, but what about the other two guards…..are they three point shooters. Fight on, Dan, Class of 1962

  2. OOOOOF!! wolfman lands an excruciating “liver shot” to the body!! the poor Dummies left crumpled on the canvas writhing in agony!!

the amazing thing about Carroll’s “ego move” of benching Reggie on the most important play of the season was, that he repeated the crushing mistake later in the Superbowl by not using “the Beast” on 1st and goal. one man blows a Natty AND a champeeenship solely based on his gigantic ego!!

every hero has their tragic flaw, Robert E Lee was a traitor, Achilles had his heal, Carroll, his pride. even the great John Wooden had his flaws….oh, wait, sorry, he is the one hero who was a pure hero without any flaw or even sin. this does not count the last time he cursed at age 10 when his older brother hit him square in the kisser with a shovelful of horse manure!

      1. i love AI (when it is correct) “The available sourced reporting shows that Pete Carroll himself explained the reasoning for the 4th‑and‑2 call after the game. In his comments, Carroll described the decision in first person (“we had to do it on offense… that’s our moment to seal the win”), indicating that the choice to use LenDale White — and thus keep Reggie Bush on the sideline — was his call as head coach, not an assistant’s.

    1. OOOF – Wooden presided over the dirtiest program in college hoops

Achilles had his “heel”, not “heal” – sheesh, you must have graduated from Westwood Tech

And does anyone remember who was coaching the gutties football team in 2005?

Chuck, it’s baseball season. Don’t throw junk here. Bring your 82 MPH heater.

      4. As Bill would tell you mostly the kids got free food like Bill who would wolf down two large subs and a pitcher of beer in Westwood after practice…what jerk is gonna charge BW for food? They know these kids are broke. Now, I’m sure this means nothing to the Silver Spooners at SC who would simply whip out daddy’s gold card!!

      5. Michael, I would have invited chuck to my old palisades home, but the city of LA let it burn down. Thankfully we sold it and moved out before the fires.

      6. Check out the hilarious new campaign video with Bass screaming, “I’m part of the machine –I can burn L. A. down any time I want to!”

      7. Michael, her opponent lost his home in the Palisades fire. His parents also lost their home. And yet, Bass is claiming that he is exploiting the fire for political gain…
