Lawndale tailback Jordan Wilmore, who committed to USC in August, will back off his commitment according to Chris Swanson of USC247.com. Wilmore is looking at Utah and UCLA, which offered him last week. I can think of several reasons for Wilmore to back off USC: He doesn’t know who the offensive coordinator will be He doesn’t know for sure if Mike Jinks will remain as … Continue reading Jordan Wilmore Decommits
I will note again no sweeping changes have been made at USC. There is no offensive coordinator. Players are transferring. At least two donors tell me they will not purchase tables at next month’s recruiting dinner after doing it for years. Season-ticket sales? Who knows. It just seems like a good time for the athletic director to be taking a hands-on approach to USC football. … Continue reading It’s Another Day Without Real Change
USC linebacker Levi Jones, who was removed from the team last season after some off-field incidents, has transferred to North Carolina State. Jones will join another former USC player, tight end Cary Angeline, at North Carolina State. Wolfpack head coach Dave Doeren was on the USC coaching staff under Paul Hackett. But the fact he got into a verbal altercation with Enfield demonstrates how players do not respect the coach. Just like guard Jordan Usher … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: Clay Helton And Andy Enfield Have Something In Common
Oregon defeated USC, 81-60. Kevin Porter Jr. was suspended for unspecified conduct issues and did not play. USC’s 60 points were a season low. Jonah Mathews had 15 points while Bennie Boatwright had 13 points and 8 rebounds. The Trojans are 9-8 overall and 2-2 in the Pac-12. UPDATED: Enfield said Porter’s suspension is indefinite. REACTION: Porter’s talented but not been worth the trouble so … Continue reading Thanks, Enfield (Again)!!
I spoke to an NFL scout today who attended North Texas practices. The offensive coordinator is Graham Harrell, who was recommended to USC by Kliff Kingsbury. “I was able to figure out their offense watching one practice,” the scout said. “There are variations with the receiver but it doesn’t take long to figure out where the ball is going. There aren’t that many different plays.” … Continue reading Do USC And Its Fans Just Want An Air Raid Offense?
