Former USC Assistant Coach Mike Giddings Passes Away

Mike Giddings, the defensive coordinator for the 1962 USC national championship team, died July 27th due to complications from a stroke. He was 89. Giddings was an assistant coach under John McKay from 1961-65. He left USC to become head coach at Utah (1966-67). He was also head coach at Monrovia High School (1957-59), Glendale College (1960) and Newport Harbor High School (1982-85).
