If It’s Friday, It’s Time For A USC Notes Column
In his latest ESPN MLB mock draft, Kiley McDaniel has the Mets selecting USC pitcher Mason Edwards with the No. 27 overall pick. USC’s Ashley Erasmus broke her own shot put record of 18.07m from earlier this season with a new mark of 18.30m Thursday at the NCAA West Regionals in Fayetteville, Ark. Only the NCAA could consider Arkansas the West Regional. Among the many … Continue reading If It’s Friday, It’s Time For A USC Notes Column
Andy Stankiewicz Makes Big Rotation Change For USC At Regionals
Last weekend I floated the idea that USC save its ace, Mason Edwards, for the UCLA game at the Big Ten Tournament. Well, today USC coach Andy Stankiewicz said he will start No. 2 pitcher Grant Govel tomorrow against Texas State and save Edwards for the big game Saturday against host Texas A&M. The Louisiana game on Sept. 12 will start at 8 p.m. … Continue reading USC Kickoff Times Are As Bad As Expected

The Week 1 kickoff time vs. Fresno State has already been announced (6 p.m.). Is this the worst opening four-game stretch in USC history? Not if you judge by how … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: Kickoff Times Announced Today
USC Morning Buzz: Who Owns L.A.?
Several people in the athletic dept. have joked that some who work there believe social engagement is more important than winning and losing. If that is the case, can USC finally bury its slogan that “USC is the pLAce to be.” It’s backfired when UCLA just won the women’s basketball title, its softball is in the College World Series and its baseball team is No. … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: Who Owns L.A.?
