OK, with spring practice over it’s time to rank the quarterbacks. This is my ranking and not who I think will start since I tend to disagree with Clay Helton on most things. I’m using the old Euro scale of 1-4 with 4 being best: Jack Sears €€€ When the real bullets are flying overhead, no one is better JT Daniels €€1/2 None of his … Continue reading My USC Quarterback Rankings
For most of spring practice, I haven’t focused on the offensive line. Now that spring practice is over, I will say the offensive line hasn’t improved much since last season. There is one high-level athlete (Austin Jackson) and even he is inconsistent. The rest of the unit is not noteworthy from an athletic standpoint. It’s baack! Games of Thrones returned tonight and I’m bringing back the forum that I started on my other USC blog. It was gone so long that USC was good was Season 7 started. How many things did you forget before tonight’s episode? How much needed to be set up again? I always say I don’t care what it returns . . . and then … Continue reading Game Of Thrones Talk
Wide receiver Trevon Sidney committed to Illinois today. He joins defensive end Oluwole Betiku, who committed to Illinois earlier in the week. Continue reading Trevon Sidney To Illinois
How much does it hurt Lynn Swann to miss the maybe the biggest Masters of his lifetime? This is the result of peer pressure. He had to stay home because he has been criticized for playing too much golf, going to autograph shows and missing USC events. Do you disagree? Look at the tweet below. USC straining to show he is at a men’s volleyball … Continue reading Spin Swann
Spring practice did not produce a starting quarterback, as expected. But in a way it has put the coaches in a bind: Whether it was Saturday’s final scrimmage or other times, when there the practice went “live,” Jack Sears was the better quarterback. This is not unusual. Remember, everyone thought JT Daniels was the better QB at last fall’s training camp but then the real … Continue reading USC QB Quandary
