Today’s comments by Mike Bohn prove again how much he loves to talk about recruiting.
Remember when he said in December, “We also picked up four commitments that haven’t been announced yet . . . in the last four or five days and so I’m inspired by that.”
He does use some passionate adjectives to describe recruiting: The current class is “miraculous.” The four commitments (that didn’t happen by the way) “inspired” him.
And today’s other comment, ““I anticipate some further good news coming quickly,” regarding prospect Julien Simon.
Some of these comments might actually violate NCAA rules regarding what USC officials can say about recruiting, but I’m not the compliance officials so I will just enjoy posting them.
If Mike Bohn has been paying attention to the history of Clay Helton, then he realizes this means absolutely nothing.

Maybe this story will help, Fan Boy. On a recent trip to Bohn’s office, a board member saw a large, new painting on the wall: Helton being restrained in a pea-green straight jacket and face protector similar to the ones prison guards used for Hannibal Lecter ….

We need a little less talk (9 months away recruiting hype);
and a lot more action (coaching up the players TODAY)

I think they are doing a bunch of talking and chest beating because they think they are going to avoid Alabama in week 1.

There goes Wolf trying to snitch on Mike Bohn and USC.
“Some of these comments might actually violate NCAA rules regarding what USC officials can say about recruiting, but I’m not the compliance officials so I will just enjoy posting them.”
Wow do you have Traitor blood pumping inside you.

Sam — Actually, Scott was trying to help. He know the comments constitute (minor) violations so he was trying to provide cover to USC by saying they only “might” constitute violations (meaning reasonable people could differ as to whether they did or not).
