Former USC Baseball Player Oscar Brown Dies

Oscar Brown, an outfielder on USC’s 1966 baseball team, died on June 3. He was 74.

Brown was the younger brother of former USC All-American tailback Willie Brown, who died in 2018. Another brother, Ollie Brown, spent 13 years playing major-league baseball.

Oscar Brown spent one season at USC when the Atlanta Braves selected him in the first round of the secondary draft in 1966. He played with the Braves from 1969-73.

  1. Amazing athletic family. Did not know “Downtown” Ollie Brown was part of their brotherhood. Hit the long ball and also had a great arm.
