Important Announcement About USC Blog

When I started this blog 29 months ago, it was going to be more of a hobby after covering USC for more than 20 years.

I never imagined it would grow to its current size and attract such a loyal audience.

Well, now it’s time to grow even more. Today, I’m taking the InsideUSC blog to Sports Illustrated. The new address is https://www.si.com/college/usc/

The new USC blog will be the same in many ways but will have much more video, more recruiting and a stronger “community” area for comments. I hope you will join me at the new site for even more USC coverage.

      7. It will bounce back one day…but that day is far in the future. New York had to become really crappy (10 murders per day, bankruptcy) before it hit bottom.

        Sadly, that is probably what it will take again.

      9. I recall interviewing at Columbia and Cornell Med Centers in the Winter of 1987.
        While I lived in dodgy parts of Los Angeles for the prior eight years, I found walking the streets of Manhatten at dusk (or even later, egad) truly terrifying. Ed Koch and his predecessor had really run the place into the ground.

        Wasn’t it the Gipper who refused to bail NYC out of bankruptcy? Great move by a great Californian!

      2. Why is it that more and more “Chauncey Gardners” are finding their way into positions that they are incredibly unqualified for? At least in Chauncey’s case, he was charming, gentle, and actively did no harm.

      While I never expect much publically from the clergy (though I am a regular church-goer), I do expect much more from highly paid, elected officials. While neither the R’s or D’s are really hitting homers, the Dems all across America have been far more disappointing, IMHO.

      Last time I checked, the Tea Partiers didn’t loot and burn down America.
