Important Announcement About USC Blog

When I started this blog 29 months ago, it was going to be more of a hobby after covering USC for more than 20 years.

I never imagined it would grow to its current size and attract such a loyal audience.

Well, now it’s time to grow even more. Today, I’m taking the InsideUSC blog to Sports Illustrated. The new address is https://www.si.com/college/usc/

The new USC blog will be the same in many ways but will have much more video, more recruiting and a stronger “community” area for comments. I hope you will join me at the new site for even more USC coverage.

    1. Whatever we say about tebow —he’s not dumb. He sees the writing on the wall. He knows nobody can get up any enthusiasm for Biden. It’s all down hill from here for Joe —the only people who (pretend to) like him are the media whores who get paid to.
      [Trump needs to watch out for the bombshell the dems drop on the day of the debate…they are gonna need a distraction to fall back on].

        I watched the “interview” yesterday morning, and Kramer was simply “quoting” POTUS45 who used the moniker during the failed “negotiation” with the Speaker of the House over Stimulus part II. Kramer apologized twice during the interview (and later during Mad Money) for using the moniker as an example of the gridlock between the Legislative Branch and the Executive Branch.

        THAT SAID, Madame Speaker’s soliliquoy/diatribe/harangue on CNBC was truly nauseating. She simply used her time on the air to blather on with her trite homily to her base, never once answering the only question asked of her. At age 80, she is fully capable of reciting her doctrine but fully incapable of thinking on her feet or directly answering a well-founded question.

        Her brain is no more nimble than Biden’s nor Trump’s. Sad that our Country is being run by demented old people.

        *while couched as an interview with the Speaker, it was just an unpaid political advertisement.

  40. Both Obama and Trump are the only presidents to put serious effort into any kind of peace plan for the ME, at the least since Reagan and probably longer. They both had very different ideas of how that peace would work out and what the shape of the ME would be under it. We can differentiate the plans a the “Iran-Centric” of Obama, and the “Israel-Centric” of Trump.

    The Iran-centric plan of Obama is based – as most things were with him – on hatred. Born out of his own antisemitism and hatred of the US and the west in general, his plan relied on the general hatred of Jews by the Muslim population to be the uniting factor. Creating a strong Iran with nuclear weapons to offset Israel would give the rest a powerful nation to unite under, and would eventually lead to the end of Israel. At home, limiting energy production would make us dependent on ME oil. The ME would be dominated by an Iranian Theocracy protected from intervention by a nuclear umbrella, and the West and the US in particular would be powerless to change it and weakened by continued energy reliance

    The Israel-centric Trump plan does much the opposite. Rather than playing on hatred, he found common ground that had long been there but was never tapped. His vision of the ME isn’t one dominated by Israel, but of a community framework of peace and economic ties, which only Israel has the economy to provide for and a military to keep the Iranian threat at bay. A positive, peaceful vision of the future, rather than the cynical and destructive one dreamed of by Obama.

Without the feared beat down by Bama and the season ending nailbiter against the Irish, and given that Oregon lost their whole team and UW has no QB or coach and we get ASU at home, I predict SC 10-0 if we ever play. We are loaded compared to all the other teams as long as no one else abandons ship. It’s weird how David Shaw has soured after such an auspicious beginning. We should beat the Indians too.
