Important Announcement About USC Blog

When I started this blog 29 months ago, it was going to be more of a hobby after covering USC for more than 20 years.

I never imagined it would grow to its current size and attract such a loyal audience.

Well, now it’s time to grow even more. Today, I’m taking the InsideUSC blog to Sports Illustrated. The new address is https://www.si.com/college/usc/

The new USC blog will be the same in many ways but will have much more video, more recruiting and a stronger “community” area for comments. I hope you will join me at the new site for even more USC coverage.

The nice thing about films in the ’30’s was the villains KNEW they were the villains (Claude Rains as Prince John: “How thoughtful of Richard to get himself captured and leave England to my tender mercies!”).       4. Great artists frequently get enthralled with the romance of governments growing out of “people’s revolutions’ —naively not recognizing that they’re not operating for the good of the many, but the few. The “people” fought for them…but the “people” don’t run them.
        BTW, Quentin Tarantino may be an asshole when it comes to politics —BUT —he really showed class when the Chinese Communist Government told him to delete the scene where Brad Pitt kicks Bruce’s Lee’s ass in a studio lot fight. Even though they closed the ENTIRE Chinese market to him (worth at least $60 million), he told them he needed the scene to establish Brad as being tough enough to fuck over the Manson gang and he wasn’t going to change one second of it. This makes him the only person in Hollywood to tell China to get screwed.

    1. Where were we? I can’t speak for anybody else but I was in pretrial with Johnnie in the case of People v. Washington, et al.
      Johnnie was not a legal beagle —but you’d have to look far and wide for a more savvy trial lawyer. When his witnesses were offering my witnesses free rides anywhere they wanted, I complained to the judge & Johnnie just smiled and said, “they’re just acting as friends of the court….they just wanna help.”

      7. We have plenty of hens and roosters walking around all the outdoor food cafes — my first meal in Maui was at the Fish Market, watching a dozen roosters roam the grounds —it made me a little suspicious of what my “fish taco” was filled with….
        Yes, mongooses eat snakes —I guess that’s why we don’t have any snakes on the trails I walk —-unlike the trails I used to walk in the Bay Area (particularly Grizzly Peak).

Sometimes I feel a little like Carlo Levi, the Jewish artist who helped found the anti-fascist (when that phrase actually meant ANTI -fascist) Justice and Liberty Party…and got exiled by Mussolini to Eboli. There is no reason —other than sheer cowardice — why he couldn’t have gone after every single person behind the second and third FISA applications. Sure, the defendants will say, as Comey has already said, that they placed too much trust in their informants —but the evidence is clear: they knew they were proceeding without sufficient evidence of any crime being committed by the Trump Team…and, further, there’s plenty of internal correspondence to prove they were on a search and destroy mission of a presidential candidate and, later, President-Elect. There WAS a time when that would have been considered treasonous.
