Important Announcement About USC Blog

When I started this blog 29 months ago, it was going to be more of a hobby after covering USC for more than 20 years.

I never imagined it would grow to its current size and attract such a loyal audience.

Well, now it’s time to grow even more. Today, I’m taking the InsideUSC blog to Sports Illustrated. The new address is https://www.si.com/college/usc/

The new USC blog will be the same in many ways but will have much more video, more recruiting and a stronger “community” area for comments. I hope you will join me at the new site for even more USC coverage.

Just because Trump refuses to take responsibility for the CV-19 pandemic doesn’t mean the US electorate won’t hold him responsible. In Trump’s own words he fessed he knew in Dec. 2019 the implications of the pandemic and willfully failed to minimize its invasiveness. For the families of the 210k + CV-19 fatalities they can’t say they’re better off than 4 years ago; nor can the CV-19 induced homeless and millions of unemployed.

      If you voted for Trump in 2016 you’re a marked sucker; if you’re voting for Trump in 2020 you’re a bona fide loser. I’m sure 22, that shoe fits you perfectly. Nov. 3, just 11 days away. BTW, my mail in blue ballot has been tallied.

        While I’m truly apolitical, it’s all about Pennsylvania mon frere. If you wanna make a difference, you’re gonna have to leave sunny, progressive So Cal and move to the dreary, obese, beef-lovin’ MidWest (where they do play and appreciate real football, BTW).

        My vote in CO and your vote in CA don’t matter–though the down-ballot votes are interesting in both states. Personally, I’m just too proud to vote for demented, rich, old white men. I AM embarrassed for all my woke, intellectual friends who glibly tell me that they are voting Biden. He showed his lack of gravitas as VP, and that was 4-12 years ago.     1. In a great book called Yesterday’s Tomorrows, film producer Don Hahn explores all the promise ‘tomorrow’ had back in 1960. It’s actually sad to read about what America COULD have looked like in 2020 compared to how it turned out. Once the political class realized they didn’t have to DO anything with the trillions they’ve reaped over the years but enrich themselves, America started it’s slide. We could have modern cities and transportation….but the money is going elsewhere. Anyone who thinks tax money is being spent to improve and beautify the lives of ordinary people needs to take a walk around downtown Chicago or San Francisco or Los Angeles.

      2. True story –I walked all over Oakland when I lived there and I’d run into certain people over and over. One was a guy named Bob who looked 72 but was actually 92. He told me that as a kid growing up in downtown Oakland he always dreamed it would get better and better as he got older —but instead it got worse. Bob was a great old guy and I miss him…

    One could not get all this important work done by capitulating to Iran, as
