Was this a rerun of almost every other USC game? Why were so many people fooled in the second half of the season? USC makes the same mistakes week after week. It played a good team tonight. Not UCLA. Not Cal. Not Arizona. Not Arizona State. Not Colorado. Clay Helton cannot lead. Clancy Pendergast cannot contain the edge. John Baxter cannot defend kick returns. Oh, … Continue reading Discuss The USC-Iowa Game
The ghost of Toa Lobendahn on the snap! I guess Kedon Slovis will be the excuse for Folt, Bohn and Helton. Iowa pounds USC’s defense and gets a TD. It’s 35-24. Iowa is back to dissecting the USC defense. Kedon Slovis is out. Matt Fink has won big games before. And just like that, USC scores as Kedon Slovis throws a perfect deep pass to … Continue reading USC-Iowa Live Chat
If you heard the podcast, you know I said I was going to pick Iowa. I think it will be a close game, so I’ll take the Hawkeyes, 27-24. Now it’s your turn. The USC Alumni Club of San Diego sent out an email at 9:48 a.m. today for a Game Day watch party in Old Town that starts at 11 a.m. Nothing like a last-minute invitation. I didn’t expect a watch party 7 miles from the stadium in San Diego. Maybe the alumni realized even its members weren’t thrilled about going to the game. If you want … Continue reading If It’s Friday, It’s Time For A USC Notes Column
USC really thinks you are gullible. USC is desperate. How else to explain this Clockwork Orange video it released Thursday night, which can be viewed below. Here are the worst quotes: “This year we took the next step back to where we want to be.” What next step? Winning eight games? Losing to BYU? Getting blown out by Oregon? “We’re putting the conference on notice.” … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: Propaganda Video Drops On Fans
Tosh Lupoi, the Cleveland Browns defensive line coach, is getting mentioned as a candidate for the USC defensive coordinator’s job. I have no doubt Lupoi would take the job. I do have doubts whether Clay Helton would be allowed to hire Lupoi. Remember, back when Steve Sarkisian was hired by USC in 2013, he was interested in bringing Lupoi with him. But allegations arose that … Continue reading Another Name Surfaces For Defensive Coordinator
