When USC used to have great recruiting classes, I would joke with some fans that they would rather finish No. 1 in recruiting than win a national title. Since Donte Williams got hired, I think it’s been unfair that he only gets portrayed as a recruiter. Can he coach? We don’t know because people only want to talk about him recruiting. And when I say … Continue reading Did USC Hire A Coach Or Recruiter?
This week’s USC podcast features recruiting, the impact of hiring of cornerbacks coach Donte Williams and even some talk on Andy Enfraud. Continue reading The USC Podcast Is Back!
USC has no money to pay off Clay Helton. But it has $1.2 million for Graham Harrell, $900,000 for Donte Williams and $3.2 million for Andy Enfield. Todd Orlando is probably making between $1-1.2 million. Plus whatever ridiculous amount Helton is stealing from USC. It’s probably still paying Greg Burns and Chad Kauha’aha’a, who were recently fired. Hopefully, John Baxter and Clancy Pendergast’s deals run out … Continue reading There’s A Lot Of Coaches Being Paid Right Now At USC

It’s more of a recruiting hire, than anything else. “The way they are acting at … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: An Inside Perspective On Donte Williams
I’m hearing USC is giving new cornerbacks coach Donte Williams a three-year deal worth approximately $900,000 per year. That doubles his $450,000 salary at Oregon. That’s a huge payout for a position coach. You have Graham Harrell getting $1.2 million per season for 3 years and Williams getting $900,000. Todd Orlando has to be getting around $1 million in a multi-year deal. It’s good USC … Continue reading USC Opens Bank For Donte Williams
If there is one thing USC is good at, it’s bragging before it accomplishes anything. Let me start off saying I spoke to a respected coach who knows new cornerbacks coach Donte Williams and said, “I think it’s a good hire, for sure.” I’ll have more on that later. But look at the reaction of Graham Harrell: Harrell has been at USC for 13 months. … Continue reading Let The Gloating Begin At USC
