Deja Vu All Over Again At USC
USC has done it again. For the second straight year at the athletes’ graduation ceremony, it has given out the “Willis O’Hunter” Award, which is named after Willis O. Hunter. I thought last year that this was a social media error but it’s even spelled wrong on the official list of awards for athletes. I bet the plaque/trophy handed out to the athletes has his named … Continue reading Deja Vu All Over Again At USC
USC Looking For Line Help
I hear USC wants to pay around $450,000 to its final basketball assistant coach. How hard can it be to find someone with that salary? Apparently, harder than expected. Eric Musselman wants someone with local ties but that’s still enough money to lure someone. Anyone. USC has scheduled a visit for Wyoming defensive tackle Gavin Meyer. He is also considering Wisconsin, Cal and Illinois. Meyer, … Continue reading USC Looking For Line Help
USC Morning Buzz: Recruit Sets Commitment Date
Four-star linebacker Noah Mikhail of Bonita High School in La Verne will announce his commitment on June 30. He has scheduled official visits to USC, Oregon and Texas A&M. The NCAA approved a blanket waiver … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: Recruit Sets Commitment Date

The academic senate is the representative body of the faculty. The censure vote was 21-7. The Academic Senate tabled a vote of no confidence against Folt and Guzman. Graduation Blues
USC is holding its satellite graduation ceremonies on Friday. But it closing all parking structures to the public and making only one available to employees. That’s not going to be a fun day at all for the students who are graduating. USC recommends rideshare or public transportation. Oh, sure. And even if you do that, there will be metal detectors for the five security checkpoints. … Continue reading Graduation Blues
USC Morning Buzz: Front Runners For Cornerback
Arizona and Michigan State have emerged as front runners recruiting former USC cornerback Ceyair Wright. USC is making a push to land former Arizona State wide receiver Elijah Badger, who caught nine passes for 88 yards and a touchdown against the Trojans last season. I hear Eugene “Pooh” Jeter has turned down an offer to be an assistant coach at USC. He is currently assistant general … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: Front Runners For Cornerback
