Remembering Mike Henry
This week, I am remembering Trojans who died in 2021. It’s worth noting that that first two (Steve Riley, Mike Henry) did not receive any mention from USC upon their deaths. Mike Henry was attending Bell High School when he was noticed by another Trojan great (John Ferraro), who arranged for him to get a tryout at USC. He was co-captain of the 1957 USC … Continue reading Remembering Mike Henry
USC Morning Buzz: Oregon’s Intentions Clear
New Oregon coach Dan Lanning is making it clear what his priority is when it comes to the Ducks’ coaching staff: Recruiting. Offensive line coach Adrian Klemm, who was previously at UCLA, got a two–year show-cause order in 2016 for arranging training services and housing for two recruits worth $2,400 that he paid for outside of NCAA rules. USC Finally Gets An Offensive Tackle
Lincoln Riley’s search for an offensive tackle has resulted in the addition of Virginia transfer Bobby Haskins. He was an ACC honorable mention selection this past season. He was also ACC offensive lineman of the week against Duke. USC needs linemen so Haskins will immediately get to play at left tackle. This means Andrew Vorhees can move back to guard or perhaps right tackle. But … Continue reading USC Finally Gets An Offensive Tackle
USC Sunday Notes
What a season for linebacker Palaie Gaoteote. He transferred to Ohio State and played in seven games, making eight tackles with half a sack and a fumble recovery. Presumably, he can return for another season if he chooses. Michael Pittman caught 12 passes for 82 yards yesterday for the Indianapolis Colts. It’s funny to think Clay Helton was starting Jalen Greene at wide receiver but … Continue reading USC Sunday Notes
