Morning Buzz: Does It Matter If USC Can’t Run The Ball?

A couple thoughts this morning: Why does it matter if USC gained only five yards rushing if it carved up Washington State’s defense at will through the air? Because there are times in football games when it is really important to get four yards. Or three yards. Or two yards. Or one yard. This USC team has not demonstrated it can do that, which could … Continue reading Morning Buzz: Does It Matter If USC Can’t Run The Ball?

USC Night Notes: It’s Rivalry Week

So it doesn’t feel like rivalry week but it is. No students on campus. No rallies. Think back to 2005, when USC defeated UCLA, 66-19. It was the Trojans’ 16th-straight victory over a ranked team. The problem is the conference is so bad that USC going 7-0 will go nowhere with the CFP. Talanoa Hufanga He led USC with 9 tackles as Todd Orlando moved him up to linebacker against the run-and-shoot offense. He … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: Winners And Losers Of Week

Discuss The USC-Washington State Game

Did you watch all four quarters? This is what I meant when I talked for weeks about the “cushy” Pac-12 schedule. Still, you could see some holes if USC had happened to play a good team. The offensive line was pretty poor. USC had 1-yard rushing with 2 minutes left in the game. USC finished with 5 yards rushing and had 10 points in the … Continue reading Discuss The USC-Washington State Game
