Just Say No To Hype Videos
Petros Papadakis expressed his frustration today with USC hype videos. The hype videos start to roll out. I just have to say, for me personally it is really really hard to have to go through with all these motions because I remember last year, when they were selling their new attitude & their new work ethic. Selling their new attitude..it all led to what? An … Continue reading Just Say No To Hype Videos
USC Notes: Austin Jackson Off To Strong Combine Start
USC offensive lineman Austin Jackson ran the 40 in 5.07 seconds today at the NFL combine and had one of the best vertical leaps (31.0). The more important time for linemen is the 10-yard split because that’s linemen rarely run 40 yards down field. Jackson’s time of 1.73 seconds tied for second. Iowa offensive tackle Travis Wirfs is dominating with a 4.86 40-yard dash; 10’1″ … Continue reading USC Notes: Austin Jackson Off To Strong Combine Start
USC NCAA Tournament Hopes Rise
ESPN analyst Joe Lunardi now has USC as a No. 11 seed in his NCAA bracket. I feel more positive than a lot of reports about the Trojans’ NCAA Tournament hopes because I think USC will OK unless it loses three straight games, including the first round of the Pac-12 Tournament. My issue is squeaking into the NCAA Tournament should never be OK with the … Continue reading USC NCAA Tournament Hopes Rise
If It’s Friday, It’s Time For A USC Notes Column

And here’s another great example: When John Robinson resigned from being vice president of university relations to become the Rams coach on Feb. 14, 1983, there was speculation he might take some USC assistants with him but no official announcements … Continue reading If It’s Friday, It’s Time For A USC Notes Column
USC Handles Arizona
USC defeated Arizona, 57-48, at the Galen Center. If you want to doubt the NET rankings, Arizona entered the contest ranked No. 7 nationally. The team I saw Thursday night looked nowhere near a top 20 team. The Wildcats shot 28 percent and were 3-26 on 3-pointers. Jonah Mathews didn’t look like he had the flu. He played 33 minutes and scored 14 points. Was … Continue reading USC Handles Arizona
Will USC Beat Arizona?
Big game at the Galen Center tonight. USC has some issues with Nick Rakocevic and Jonah Mathews battling the flu since last weekend but this should be a winnable game for the Trojans. The problem, like with every game, is whether Andy Enfield will find a way to mess things up, usually with no plan at the end of the game. USC is a 5-point … Continue reading Will USC Beat Arizona?
