Important Announcement About USC Blog

When I started this blog 29 months ago, it was going to be more of a hobby after covering USC for more than 20 years.

I never imagined it would grow to its current size and attract such a loyal audience.

Well, now it’s time to grow even more. Today, I’m taking the InsideUSC blog to Sports Illustrated. The new address is https://www.si.com/college/usc/

The new USC blog will be the same in many ways but will have much more video, more recruiting and a stronger “community” area for comments. I hope you will join me at the new site for even more USC coverage.

    computer software is just a list of instructions that is followed to a “T”. Computers only do what they are told, the translate these list of instructions to “1s and 0s” So if the computer does not do what it is expected to do, it is explicitly told to do so. Computers are DUMB, they just do what they are told to do.

    The term computer bug is a cute term for “someone fucked up during coding or allocating the requirements correctly”

    So when a coder writes instructions to be followed it is an intentional act (computers are not self aware and cannot think for themsleves). the results of the list of instructions can produce an incorrect result if the coder intentionally or unintentionally writes incorrect instructions.

    So getting to brass tax, if you have a simple task of summing two choices that are inputed based on external or internal means it should be really easy to do.

    Example : 20 people have a choice of A or B. The program sums the 20 peoples choices and the results show 12 people choose A and 8 choose B. the results are 12-8 for choice A.

    Now lets say that someone wants to pad the numbers for Column B and decides to add 5 additional choice B to the total

    the results would now be choice B 13 and choice A 12 but problem is 13+12 = 25 which is greater than 20 so obviously some shenanigans happened.

    BUT if i change the code to subtract 5 from the choice A and give them to choice B at the conclusion of the 20 peoples choices, then the 12-8 for choice A would now be 13-7 for B and total number of people participating is still 20.

    So i smell something fishy with this Dominion Voting systems count in that rural county in Michigan. If i was ANYONE who was on the ballots in ANY state who used this voting system, i would sue for a review of the source code to ensure that the system correctly summed the votes for each candidate. i wold look for some “voting” corrections that added votes from one candidate to while subtracting the same number from the other candidate.

    1. Trump’s side keeps introducing anecdotal evidence –“onesies & twosies”. They need to show systemic fraud. Unfortunately, Trump’s lawyers are on the (very) un-smart side….
      There are plenty of products liability cases that give them the “step” their case is missing, but it looks like they’re too dumb to know about them. These cases stand for proposition that several instances of “problematic results” lead to the inference of
      a systemic defect. This inference would get them past a nonsuit and on to discovery (where they could kill the dems)….but they appear too dense to put 2 and 2 together…..
