USC coach Clay Helton appeared on the Trojans Live radio show tonight and here was probably the most eye-raising takeaway: “If we eliminate the critical errors, this team over the next 7 games, watch out, because I think they can do something really special.” Thoughts? USC has finally put out a statement on SB206, which California governor Gavin Newsom signed this morning and allows college athletes in California to be compensated for the use of their name, image and likeness. Continue reading USC Issues Statement On Fair Pay To Play Bill
So the Air Raid, which was going to revolutionize USC’s offense, relies on the deep pass for success? At least the USC version does. If you want to beat USC, take away the deep ball. BYU and Washington did. Washington went with a man-to-man defense on one play and Matt Fink connected with Michael Pittman on a 44-yard TD. Kedon Slovis is still not medically cleared, Helton said. He blamed the Washington and BYU losses on turnovers. “I still believe in this team wholeheartedly,” Helton said. We’ve all heard that before. Just like this … Continue reading Sunday Night With Clay Helton
