Darwin Barlow, a four-star tailback committed to TCU, is visiting USC this weekend. USC suddenly developed an interest in Barlow after Jordan Wilmore decommitted. So what happens when Barlow asks why the offensive coordinator hasn’t introduced himself? Or asks Clay Helton whether the Trojans will run an Air Raid or spread offense? The Dallas Cowboys fired offensive coordinator Scott Linehan today. I’m not saying Clay Helton should hire him but he certainly has a more extensive job history (University of Washington offensive coordinator; Rams head coach; Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator; Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator; Cowboys offensive coordinator). Maybe Helton should call him and just get his opinion and who USC should hire. Fresno State offensive coordinator Kalen DeBoer … Continue reading How Is The Offensive Coordinator Search Going?

He would have to want to coach again. He would need to be paid a lot of money. He would need to want to work for Lynn Swann. And Swann would … Continue reading Urban Meyer To Fox Sports But For How Long?
One of the stereotypes for Clay Helton is that he is a players’ coach. That no matter how bad USC might play, the players love and respect Helton. Well, based on conversations I’ve had with players on last season’s team, that is a charade. Quite a few players are pretty fed up with Helton and do not respect him. Players routinely yell at staff members. … Continue reading What Do USC Players Think?
