Defensive line coach Kenechi Udeze announced via twitter he would not return next season. This is the first firing because quarterbacks coach Bryan Ellis is expected to become offensive coordinator at Western Kentucky. Udeze did not have a great relationship with defensive coordinator Clancy Pendergast. A USC atheltic dept. employee said he basically is putting it in the lap of the new president, who has not yet been hired. Why? Swann doesn’t really seem to like the day-to-day aspects of being athletic director and doesn’t want to solely own any big decision regarding football. What is … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: Lynn Swann Punts So He Can Golf
Lynn Swann said USC needs to improve the “culture, discipline, schemes, personnel and staff” of the football program. Did he leave anything out? Why isn’t the head coach responsible for these shortcomings? It is ridiculous that Swann identified the problems without holding the person who created this mess responsible. This is why USC cannot improve. It needs leadership, whether it is the president, athletic director … Continue reading Clueless U.
