This morning I did an interview with a Phoenix radio station and eventually one of the topics was Arizona. I admit I get a little triggered by Jedd The Fisch. He worked for Pete Carroll and seems to want to emulate him. I said today Fisch needs to be “more than salesman.” He also had a weird comment at Pac-12 media day when asked if … Continue reading How Not To Spin USC-UCLA Move To Big Ten
I wish George Kliavkoff would say who he is talking about when he keeps saying people from UCLA and to a lesser extent, USC, are upset about the move to the Big Ten. “It’s clear that UCLA and USC made a decision for short-term financial gain at the expense of their student-athletes,” Kliavkoff told The Athletic. “It’s 100 percent clear to me. It’s really unfortunate, and … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: Who Is George Kliavkoff Talking About?
You could write a book on the legacy of Pat Haden even though he was only athletic director for 5.5 years. The Pac-12 is talking about having an unequal revenue-sharing plan for its new TV deal. That would mean Oregon would get more money than everyone else and maybe Washington too. Russell had 24 points, 20 rebounds and 10 blocked shots in only 25 minutes as USF … Continue reading Sunday Buzz: Remembering Bill Russell Vs. USC

The Pac-12 always moves at its own speed but remember there will not be North and South division champions this season. The top two teams will play in the Pac-12 title game. But what happens if there is a tie? George Kliavkoff has probably been a little … Continue reading Pac-12 Still Waiting To Announce Tiebreaker
Neither Mike Bohn nor Martin Jarmond attended Pac-12 media day. It’s disappointing they didn’t face the media to at least explain in depth the move to the Big Ten. The Pac-12 didn’t have them attend meetings the day before that addressed the conference’s future. That is understandable. But all they had to do Friday was show and answer some questions. And let’s be honest, most … Continue reading USC Saturday Buzz: Mike Bohn No-Show At Pac-12 Media Day
