Donte Williams is wasting no time offering scholarships today. He offered five-star corner Ga’Quincy McKinstry of Alabama; five-star corner Tony Grimes from Virginia; four-star corner Avante Dickerson from Nebraska and four-star corner Nyland Green from Georgia. It’s good he is being aggressive. And the USC recruiting media is falling over themselves over every offer he makes. But what will he tell recruits who want to … Continue reading All Hail Donte Williams!
USC did not have a recruiting dinner but it just sent out invitations to an event at the Coliseum to “welcome the recruiting class to the Trojan Family.” It also promises a “chalk talk” with Clay Helton and the coaching staff plus the new recruits who enrolled in the spring (all four of them?). And here’s the kicker: It only costs $150 per ticket. Sign … Continue reading USC Has A (Sort Of) Recruiting Event
This is not likely to cause a fanboy celebration but USC has hired Virginia defensive line coach Vic So’oto. He has only been a full-time assistant for three seasons and played at BYU. Is he an upgrade over Chad Kauha’ahaa? He is the second cousin of former USC star Junior Seau. Continue reading USC Hires Virginia Defensive Line Coach

That doesn’t mean the Pac-12 is not … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: Pac-12 Can’t Compete At Any Level
NBA star and former USC star DeMar DeRozan is having his No. 10 jersey retired on Thursday night at the Galen Center. Four years ago, Gus Williams had his No. 10 jersey retired at the Galen Center. That means USC retired the No. 10 jersey twice. So WHY is guard Quinton Adlesh wearing No. 10 this season? Probably because Andy Enfield has zero appreciation of … Continue reading USC Retiring No. 10 For Second Time But It’s Still Being Worn In 2020
When USC used to have great recruiting classes, I would joke with some fans that they would rather finish No. 1 in recruiting than win a national title. Since Donte Williams got hired, I think it’s been unfair that he only gets portrayed as a recruiter. Can he coach? We don’t know because people only want to talk about him recruiting. And when I say … Continue reading Did USC Hire A Coach Or Recruiter?
