The Elite 11 Finals QB competition is taking place in Redondo Beach this weekend. There are 24 quarterbacks competing who hope to advance  JT Daniels would be the big draw if he were not enrolling at USC next week. USC APR Scores Improve

USC football and basketball posted identical four-year scores of 973 in the latest NCAA Academic Progress Ratings. USC football posted a score of 974 in 2016-17. Its multi-year score in 2015-16 was 968. Basketball scored 977 in 2016-17 and had a multi-year score of 969 in basketball in 2015-16. The penalty line for APR scores is 930. Former USC Point Guard Larry Friend Dies

Larry Friend, the starting point guard on USC’s last conference championship team in 1985, died on Tuesday of cancer. He was 54. Friend was named USC’s Best Defensive Player three times. In 1986, he was USC’s MVP and Most Inspirational Player. So USC has a commitment from five-star Onyeka Okongwu and is expected to get the Mobley brothers now that their father (Eric Mobley) is an assistant coach. Five-Star Forward Onyeka Okongwu Commits To USC

Chino Hills forward Onyeka Okongwu, who is ranked the 18th-best player in the nation by Rivals for the Class of 2019, announced today he committed to USC. He also considered UCLA and Kansas.
