Morning Buzz: USC Linebacker Evaluation

Of all the USC transfers, perhaps the most intriguing player is linebacker Mason Cobb of Oklahoma State, because he plays a position of need for the defense. So I asked a Big 12 offensive coach who faced Oklahoma State and watched all of the Cowboys’ game films to the point of facing them. “He’s a physical linebacker and can be a leader for USC,” the … Continue reading Morning Buzz: USC Linebacker Evaluation

USC Notes: Conspiracy Theory Draws Little Pushback

It’s sad that Mick Cronin can push a conspiracy theory about UCLA being punished in the NCAA seedings because of the Bruins’ move to the Big Ten and no one calls him out locally. What it demonstates is UCLA has its own fanboy media. The only criticism I’ve seen of Cronin has come from the national media. USC Morning Buzz: Saturday Column Supplement

There are multiple scenes of Richard Saukko getting aboard Traveler and riding him through the Coliseum, although it’s definitely not … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: Saturday Column Supplement

RIP, BLVD!

BLVD, the USC-run NIL collective, is no longer in existence. And frankly, good riddance. The partnership with the media agency Stay Doubted always seemed questionable and what did it really accomplish? Caleb Williams got his deals himself and Jordan Addison was the Biletnikoff Award winner when he transferred. The rank-and-file players didn’t see a lot. The donors who funded BLVD will continue to have an … Continue reading RIP, BLVD!
