USC Athletic Director Press Conference Live Blog
After the press conference, Mike Bohn said it is too soon to make any decision on football. He said he will not be going to the Arizona State game because he has to go back to Cincinnati to say his goodbyes. Carol Folt said she is not placing limitations on Mike Bohn on who to hire. On Clay Helton: “Just like any program . . … Continue reading USC Athletic Director Press Conference Live Blog
USC To Announce New A.D. Thursday Morning
USC president Carol Folt will introduce its new athletic director — Mike Bohn — Thursday morning at 10 a.m. As I said this morning, USC officials expected Bohn to “come around” after he had second thoughts. Another Reason USC Is Struggling
I heard several USC coaches were arguing with special teams coach John Baxter during the Oregon game. Why? Because Baxter was trying to play starters, who were less than 100 percent, on special teams. This is what happens when Clay Helton gives so much authority to Baxter. And it’s one reason Helton is likely going to lose his job. Continue reading Another Reason USC Is Struggling
Is Urban Meyer “Radioactive”?
A source told me this morning that in a meeting USC administrators, school president Carol Folt described Urban Meyer as “radioactive.” I wonder what would happen if Rick Caruso, the chairperson of the Board of Trustees, wanted Meyer? Would it make a difference? Probably not. Has USC contacted Bob Stoops yet or is he radioactive too? A high school coach told last night that he … Continue reading Is Urban Meyer “Radioactive”?
