USC Of The Big Ten
Josh Imatorbhebhe and Oluwole Betiku are on the just-released Illinois roster. Trevon Sidney is not on the roster but should be added soon. “Those players bring experience and come from a winning program,” Illinois coach Lovie Smith said. Continue reading USC Of The Big Ten
Morning Buzz: USC Reveals Plan To Honor Teams
It took awhile but here is how USC plans to honor the 1969 and 1994 teams since the Salute to Troy dinner was canceled that usually honors past teams. USC is scheduled to have a fall scrimmage at the Coliseum on August 17 from 4-6 p.m. Before the scrimmage, those former players who are in attendance will have their names announced. USC Night Notes: Star Back Trims List
I didn’t realize five-star tailback Bijan Robinson of Tucson eliminated USC last week. Robinson will choose between Ohio State and Texas. He will make his announcement August 2. Last month, Robinson visited USC and got the MVP treatment, driven around in a golf cart by Clay Helton. But he has now moved to Hawaii because of academic issues and will not be part of the program. Continue reading USC Loses Incoming Recruit
The Folly Of Watch Lists
USC tailback Vavae Malepeai made the Doak Walker watch list today. Does he even start at USC? Or is it Stephen Carr? Or is it Markese Stepp? Just like the QB job. Is it JT Daniels or Jack Seakrs? More than ever at USC, it is difficult to find watch list candidates. Except on the offensive line, which has few candidates for anything. Continue reading The Folly Of Watch Lists
USC Morning Buzz: The Receivers Always Know
I’ve written before about the wide receivers preferring Jack Sears as the starting QB. But recently a highly regarded tailback recruit ran into some of the current receivers and said they were unanimous in saying they wanted Sears because he was a better passer/leader. It seems to happen regularly. Remember I wrote during the season some captains went to Clay Helton and asked for Sears … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: The Receivers Always Know
