Miami And USC Not Too Different
Look at how similar Mark Richt and Clay Helton were the past two seasons: Miami went 10-3 and lost in the Orange Bowl in 2017. USC went 11-3 and lost in the Cotton Bowl in 2017. Miami finished 13th in the final AP Top 25 poll. USC was 12th. Miami went 7-6 this season. USC went 5-7. Miami lost in the Pinstripe Bowl. USC did … Continue reading Miami And USC Not Too Different
When Will Kevin Porter Return?
When is freshman guard Kevin Porter going to return from a bruised thigh? He has been out five weeks and said last week he hoped to return for tonight’s game with UC Davis. But he hasn’t even practiced in the past week and Andy Enfield said he isn’t able to practice or play. Like I said last week, his return is anticipated because in college basketball … Continue reading When Will Kevin Porter Return?
USC Sunday Buzz: King Kliff And Houston?
Kliff Kingsbury is getting mentioned as a candidate at Houston after it fired Major Applewhite. Is that really what the Cougars want? A guy who was 35-40 at Texas Tech and had a losing record with Patrick Mahomes? I suspect USC fans like it when these facts are brought up to deter Kingsbury from taking a head job. USC Cornerback Recruiting Horror Stories Continue
I know there are still a few apologists out there defending USC’s recruiting class but here’s another tale. KJ Trujillo, a three-star cornerback from Orange Lutheran, said he was offered a scholarship by USC on Dec. 17. That was two days before Signing Day! He signed with Colorado, and also visited San Diego State and Utah State. Cornerback Mark Perry, who also signed with Colorado, … Continue reading USC Cornerback Recruiting Horror Stories Continue
Morning Buzz: USC Players Get Better . . . In NFL
Still another day with no developments regarding the strength and conditioning program. By the way, does anyone remember how JuJu Smith-Shuster was misused during his junior year? He is the “surprise” of the NFL but maybe that is because the Steelers know what they are doing. Remember when Alabama held Smith-Shuster to one catch for nine yards and the USC coaches said it was because … Continue reading Morning Buzz: USC Players Get Better . . . In NFL
