All Hail The Pac-12
The Conference of Champions won a bowl game! Of course No. 13-ranked Washington State had to squeak out a 28-26 victory over No. 24 Iowa State but the Pac-12 will take any victory it can get at this point. It’s also refreshing to see a coach “over-achieve.” I would not know what that feels like watching USC play. Continue reading All Hail The Pac-12
If It’s Friday, It’s Time For A USC Notes Column
Another week at USC with no permanent president, an incompetent athletic director and a clueless football coach. What’s amazing is some people want to head toward 2019 thinking with that formula, a new offensive coordinator will solve the football program’s woes. I spent a lot of time this week highlighting the cornerback issues next season. If USC coaches knew only three corners returned, why were … Continue reading If It’s Friday, It’s Time For A USC Notes Column

Four-star Jeremiah Criddell of Mater Dei (2019) signed with … Continue reading There Are Cornerbacks Everywhere But USC
USC Morning Notes
No surprise that LSU already has the No. 2-ranked recruiting class for 2020 after Mater Dei cornerback Elias Ricks committed on Christmas Day. USC is ranked No. 15. I want to go back for a minute about Kliff Kingsbury’s quote last week his system: “I want to see how everybody handles my system. How they pick it up and how they play within my system.” … Continue reading USC Morning Notes
DeMar DeRozan Sets Mark For USC Players
DeMar DeRozan became the NBA’s leading scorer among USC players tonight, moving past Gus Williams. DeRozan has 14,112 career points in 10 seasons and Williams had 14,093 in 11 seasons with Golden State, Seattle, Washington and Atlanta. Paul Westphal (12,809), Bill Sharman (12,653) and Cliff Robinson (10,823) complete the top five. ‘Really?” DeRozan said. “Hell yeah.” Continue reading DeMar DeRozan Sets Mark For USC Players
