USC Picture Of The Day
The Go Fund Me campaign that raised more than $14,000 hired a plane to fly this banner around the Coliseum this afternoon. It should say Fire Lynn Swann and Clay Helton. Continue reading USC Picture Of The Day
Pick The USC-Notre Dame Score
Make sure to pick the score for today’s game. Here is my take: I have been torn picking almost every USC game this season. Not today. USC has no leadership and divided loyalties and I don’t really think even wants to play in a bowl game. The fact Clay Helton could be coaching for his job makes no difference either. What’s the over/under on when … Continue reading Pick The USC-Notre Dame Score
A Status Check On Where Things Stand
Depending on who you talk to, Clay Helton will either be fired this weekend or return for next season. Someone called me today and said James Franklin will be hired. Just a warning: A lot of things can happen that contradict each other. When USC hired Lane Kiffin in 2010, it sent a contract to Jack Del Rio. Did that mean it wanted to hire … Continue reading A Status Check On Where Things Stand

The USC coach talked about how Notre Dame went 4-8 in 2016 and bounced back enough to be undefeated this season and contending for a spot in the College Football Playoff. But Helton left out a few details. Kelly took … Continue reading If It’s Friday, It’s Time For A USC Notes Column
Another Strange Personnel Move
The fact Jack Sears does not start is mind boggling. But why has linebacker Palaie Gaoteote received so little time since he filled in for Cameron Smith? Gaoteote might start Saturday if John Houston is still hurt. But he also should have played more this season. He can actually hit and play with speed. Unlike some other linebackers. He could obviously play middle to outside too … Continue reading Another Strange Personnel Move
USC Thanksgiving Pictures Of The Day
Did you know the 1938 USC-UCLA game, which was played on Thanksgiving before 65,000 at the Coliseum. USC won 42-7. More recently, USC played Arizona State in 2007 on Thanksgiving (picture below). USC won that game, 44-24. Continue reading USC Thanksgiving Pictures Of The Day
