Morning Buzz: Here’s Who USC Should Hire To Assist JT Daniels
That’s Norm Chow sitting behind home plate at last night’s Dodgers game. Maybe he should be hired to help out at USC. Imagine JT Daniels getting coached by Chow? I bring it up because again yesterday I heard a source within the football program telling me how eagerly the coaches are awaiting the chances to start coaching Daniels on August 3. Maybe Chow has a … Continue reading Morning Buzz: Here’s Who USC Should Hire To Assist JT Daniels
Sometimes The Best Prospects Are Right In Backyard
I have to admit I am still flabbergasted USC did not offer Orange Lutheran QB Ryan Hilinski until yesterday. So I asked a recruiting analyst with a major site his opinion: “Maybe they wanted to make sure he was interested?” he said. Perhaps. But maybe he would be interested if offered sooner. How is it possible that a Trinity League quarterback requires more evaluation than … Continue reading Sometimes The Best Prospects Are Right In Backyard
A Suggestion For Reggie Bush
A jury ordered the Rams to pay Reggie Bush $12.5 million in damages for an injury he suffered at a game in St. Louis in 2015. Maybe Bush should give a portion to Todd McNair. Or a donation to a scholarship fund for students to go to USC in conjunction with an overdue apology for his actions. Time For Some Present And Future QB Talk

USC held its first player-run practice Tuesday with the incoming freshmen and you can see for yourself watching the video from Scott Schrader of TrojanInsider.com. Daniels can start the first game as far as I’m concerned. Now, let me be clear: I am saying no contest that he is the … Continue reading Time For Some Present And Future QB Talk
USC Gets Second Commitment From Grace Brethren
Jay Toia, a 325-pound sophomore offensive lineman from under-the-radar Grace Brethren in Simi Valley, committed to USC today. He will graduate in 2021. USC already has a commitment from Grace Brethren linebacker Stanley Taufoou, a Class of 2019 prospect. At least Grace Brethren is moving up to Division 4 next season. Last season, Grace Brethren played in Division 8. And in case you missed earlier, USC offered … Continue reading USC Gets Second Commitment From Grace Brethren
USC Tuesday Afternoon Notes
USC is going to send linebackers Cameron Smith and Porter Gustin to Pac-12 media day in July. This is unusual because each school is supposed to bring an offensive and defensive player. Is the offense that bereft of talent? What about four-year starter Toa Lobendahn? Why not bring quarterback JT Daniels? Everyone wants to talk to him. And no one at USC shoots down he … Continue reading USC Tuesday Afternoon Notes
