Pac-12 Gets Little Respect In CFP Rankings
Oregon was No. 15 and USC No. 18 in the first College Football Playoffs of the season. Both schools are behind two-loss Oklahoma and two-loss Iowa State. “With three games, they’ve not yet beaten or played a ranked team,” CFP chairperson Gary Barta said of Oregon. The Non-Uniform USC Uniform
Another trademark of the Clay Helton era. Every USC player I saw against Utah wore black shoes and black or white gloves. But here is wide receiver Tyler Vaughns in yellow gloves and red/black shoes. And I doubt anyone cares at USC. It’s called a uniform for a reason, though. Continue reading The Non-Uniform USC Uniform
USC Shuts Down Following COVID-19 Positive Test
USC has basically shut down and sent people home today after the news of a player testing positive for the coronavirus. USC was supposed to have offensive coordinator Graham Harrell and two players at a press conference this morning. That was scrapped and the Trojans will not do any football activities today. USC Stat Of The Night
Why is Clay Helton happy tonight? Because Alabama, Notre Dame, Washington and Oregon are a combined 20-0. And they were all wiped off the schedule. Washington and Oregon are 5-0 and were replaced by Washington State and Oregon State, who are 2-3. It’s good to be Clay Helton! Continue reading USC Stat Of The Night
Clay Helton Finds A Big Accomplishment For USC
Everyone agrees this is a crazy, on-the-fly, asterisk-filled season. But Clay Helton likes to act like its 2019 when he talks about accomplishments to his players. What did he tell the Trojans when they got into the locker room after defeating Utah, 33-17, on Saturday night? A player I spoke to said Helton told the team it was Utah’s first loss in its first home … Continue reading Clay Helton Finds A Big Accomplishment For USC
