Quite An Injury Stat From Clay Helton
Clay Helton said on “Trojans Live” tonight that 30 players underwent surgery since August. Does that sound like the strength program is living up to the hype? Helton said a top priority will be picking the five offensive lineman who start, which is what everyone knows is a problem. Defensive coordinator Todd Orlando said “jobs are open” on the defense. Interesting since USC returns nine … Continue reading Quite An Injury Stat From Clay Helton
Good Luck Watching USC Without Pac-12 Network This Week
The way the TV schedule is set up for the Pac-12 Tournament, USC will only be on the Pac-12 Network until the championship game, if it gets that far. If USC reaches the 6 p.m. semifinal game, it will be on the Pac-12 Network. The second semifinal game, at 8:30 p.m., will be on Fox Sports 1. If USC was the No. 3 seed, like … Continue reading Good Luck Watching USC Without Pac-12 Network This Week

Season Ticket Renewals A Concern
The season-ticket renewal deadline was extended to Wednesday. I asked a highly placed USC source how season tickets sales were going and they said the renewal rate was “shockingly low.” “There’s been a huge dropoff, people aren’t renewing,” the source said. I’ve heard from a lot people who say they are dropping their tickets but sometimes what you hear and what is actually happening are … Continue reading Season Ticket Renewals A Concern
USC Morning Buzz: Keep An Eye On Luke Fickell
One theory I hear gaining steam is that with Clay Helton a mere figurehead this season, the table is set for USC to hire Cincinnati coach Luke Fickell for 2021. The basis is that Fickell was hired by Mike Bohn and they already worked together. Maybe Fickell would also accept keeping some of the recent coaching hires easier than other candidates. It’s worth noting Fickell … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: Keep An Eye On Luke Fickell
