NBCSN is showing the 2005 USC-Notre Dame game at 7 p.m. PT. I say this is the best game I’ve been to in person. Just don’t ask me to recall more than 4-5 plays. So maybe it’s good they are replaying it. Continue reading Who Is Watching USC-Notre Dame Game?
Clay Helton did an interview with SCNG today (what else does he have to do?) and said USC might try to add a QB if JT Daniels does indeed transfer: “I think the May 20 vote [on immediate eligibility for transfers], we’re going to see how that affects college football. That is going to really see for kids, is that something that opens up the … Continue reading Clay Helton “May” Add A Quarterback
With Elijah Weaver transferring, it means USC loses its top five scorers from last season. That’s not ideal, obviously. I’m sure some will argue the grad transfers, etc. will make up for it. But when you lose your top five scorers and all recruits from 2017-2018, it’s not any way to build a successful program. I wrote back in January that former USC player Kris Richard was a candidate to be hired as defensive coordinator. But a source now tells me the former NFL defensive coordinator was contacted by USC with a plan to bring him aboard and eventually make him the head coach. Richard was offered the defensive coordinator’s job and told he would be the USC head coach-in-waiting. … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: A Succession Plan That Fell Apart
USC announced that its second summer session from July 1-August 11 will be conducted online, just like its first summer session (May 20 –June 30). This really throws into doubt the idea that football training camp will start the first week of August. The provost also announced USC had no plans to provide tuition refunds for the Spring 2020 semester or upcoming summer sessions. USC guard Elijah Weaver has entered the transfer portal, according to multiple reports. He averaged 6.6 points and started 14 games last season. Now some graduate transfer can fill his spot. USC’s entire 2018 recruting class (Kevin Porter, J’Raan Brooks, Elijah Weaver) is now gone. So is every player from 2017 (Charles O’Bannon, Jordan Usher, Victor Uyaelunmo). If USC were Iowa or Wisconsin, you would … Continue reading USC Guard Elijah Weaver Enters Transfer Portal
