Clay Helton lost a bowl game? Buffalo defeated Georgia Southern, 23-21, in the Camelia Bowl. The loss deprived Helton of a winning season as Georgia Southern fell to 6-7. USC leaves for the Cotton Bowl today. USC has 7 fewer players in its travel party because of those who entered the transfer portal. That is far less than Pac-12 schools like Arizona (20); Arizona State (19); Stanford (18) and Oregon (17).
