The Recruiting Stars Don’t Always Matter
If you are distressed that recent USC commitment Kyle Juergens is a two-star prospect, it doesn’t mean the recruiting services are always right? Kenechi Udeze was not a highly regarded prospect until after he committed to USC. And sometimes it works in the reverse way. USC Notes: A Recruiting Trend Takes Hold
USC’s Elite Camp continues today. Among the top prospects are wide receiver LV Bunkley (Serra), Darion Green-Warren (Mater Dei), Domani Jackson (Mater Dei) and Jaylin Davies (Mater Dei). Would USC Ever Make History?
With Cal women’s basketball coach Lindsay Gottlieb becoming an assistant coach with the Cleveland Cavaliers last week, can you ever imagine USC men’s basketball hiring a woman as a head coach? Why not? Becky Hammond, the San Antonio Spurs assistant, would probably turn USC down. But if she hired Eric Mobley to bring his sons and Jason Hart to recruit the rest of the roster, … Continue reading Would USC Ever Make History?
Weird Urban Meyer Story Of The Day
OK, it is the offseason, so here is the weird item of the day. Zach Smith, the controversial, fired and at one-time arrested former Ohio State assistant coach, has a podcast (like everyone else these days). And he claims USC has contacted former Ohio State coach Urban Meyer. Not through a third party. Not through his agent. Not via a text message. Not through Matt … Continue reading Weird Urban Meyer Story Of The Day
